Leading with Purpose

My journey in education and youth development is rooted in faith, perseverance, and a genuine passion for helping others succeed. With 22 years of experience, I have dedicated my career to supporting young people academically, socially, and emotionally. As a Student Teacher, Parent Coordinator, and Sports Coordinator at Milwaukee Public Schools, I strive to create meaningful opportunities for students and families to learn, grow, and thrive.

My commitment extends beyond the classroom through coaching cheerleading, youth leadership, and mentoring young girls ages 9–11 in self-love, self-respect, confidence, and positive decision-making. As I continue my educational journey at Alverno College and prepare to pursue a master's degree in education administration at Wisconsin Lutheran College, I remain focused on my long-term goal of becoming a school principal. Through my summer leadership role with the Center for Urban Teaching, I look forward to helping develop and inspire future educators.

My faith in God is the foundation of my purpose, while my mother, daughter, and pastor, Pastor Kenneth Lock II, provide encouragement and guidance. My daughter is one of my greatest motivations. I want her to see through my example that growth is always possible and that challenges should never become reasons to abandon our dreams.

I believe effective leadership begins with respect, safety, accountability, and a commitment to serving others. My goal is to lead with purpose, inspire others through my actions, and help every student and future educator recognize their potential. No matter how challenging the journey becomes, I will continue to trust God, embrace opportunities for growth, and remain committed to making a lasting difference in the lives of others.
