My Journey of Growth, Leadership, Breaking Barriers, and Walking in Purpose!

A Story of Resilience, Purpose, and Breaking Through Barriers in Leadership

My Journey of Growth, Leadership, Breaking Barriers, and Walking in Purpose

I have always believed that growth begins when you refuse to become comfortable. My journey has been built on hard work, continuous learning, perseverance, and the determination to keep pushing beyond what others may believe is possible. As a Senior Project Manager at 3B Protection, I bring more than 16 years of experience in telecommunications, construction, infrastructure, and project management to an industry where leadership, accountability, and execution matter.

Throughout my career, I have managed multimillion-dollar project portfolios, coordinated cross-functional teams, and led complex projects with a strong focus on schedules, budgets, quality, and safety. But for me, success has never been just about completing a project. It is about finding better ways to work, solving problems, building relationships, and leaving every process better than I found it.

My Career Journey: From Experience to Excellence

One of the most rewarding chapters of my career was my time at Comcast Business, where I spent more than 15 years growing professionally and advancing through multiple roles in operations, construction coordination, project management, and implementation.

I am grateful for the opportunities, knowledge, and experiences that helped shape me into the leader I am today. My career has taught me the importance of adaptability, teamwork, and understanding that there is always another level to reach.

I have also had the opportunity to contribute to high-profile infrastructure initiatives involving organizations such as Amazon, Google, and Apple. These experiences strengthened my ability to manage competing priorities, navigate challenges, collaborate with diverse teams, and deliver results in complex environments.

Earning my Lean Six Sigma Black Belt is another milestone that represents my commitment to improvement and operational excellence. I believe in working smarter, eliminating unnecessary steps, reducing rework, and creating processes that make a real difference. My OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety training further reinforces my commitment to making safety and accountability priorities in the workplace.

I don't just want to get the job done. I want to understand the process, identify opportunities for improvement, and make an impact that lasts.

I Refuse to Stop Learning

One thing about me: I am always looking for an opportunity to grow. I believe you can be successful and still have more to learn. You can be experienced and still need coaching. You can be a leader and still be a student.

I never want to become so comfortable with what I know that I stop discovering what I don't know.

I invest in myself because knowledge is something no one can take away from me. Whether I am learning about new technologies, AI, construction, safety, or process improvement, I understand that staying relevant requires continuous development.

I welcome challenges because they push me to think differently, sharpen my skills, and discover strengths I may not have realized I had. Every challenge is an opportunity to grow, and every setback can teach you something if you are willing to learn from it.

My mindset has always been to keep going, keep learning, and keep raising the bar for myself.

Breaking Barriers and Making Room for Other Women

As a woman working in industries where leadership opportunities can be challenging to navigate, I understand the importance of believing in yourself, knowing your worth, and being willing to step into rooms where you may not see many people who look like you.

I want other women to know that we belong at the table, in the boardroom, on the construction site, in engineering discussions, and in executive leadership.

We should never limit ourselves because of someone else's expectations. Get the education. Earn the certifications. Ask the questions. Speak up. Take the opportunity. And when you get there, remember to help someone else get there, too.

For me, leadership is not just about a title. It is about how you treat people, how you handle adversity, how you develop others, and what you do when no one is watching.

I want to be the kind of leader who encourages others to see their potential, challenges them to grow, and reminds them that their starting point does not have to determine their destination.

Giving Back Is Part of My Purpose

Professional success means a great deal to me, but making a difference in people's lives means just as much.

I believe in giving back through community service, including feeding the homeless, participating in coat drives, and supporting survivors of domestic violence. I understand that everyone is fighting a battle that others may never see, and sometimes a little support, encouragement, or compassion can change someone's entire outlook.

I want my legacy to be about more than projects completed, positions held, or certifications earned. I want it to reflect the lives I have touched, the people I have encouraged, and the opportunities I have helped create.

My faith, my family, my experiences, and my desire to keep growing continue to shape the person I am becoming.

My Message to Women Who Are Still Climbing

If I could share one message with women who are working toward their next opportunity, it would be this: Never stop investing in yourself, never let fear make your decisions, and never allow someone else to place a ceiling on your potential.

You may have to start over. You may have to change industries. You may have to prove yourself more than once. You may experience rejection, disappointment, or unexpected changes along the way. Keep going.

Do not let one closed door convince you that there are no more opportunities. Sometimes the very thing that disrupts your plans is what pushes you toward your next level.

Stay humble enough to learn, confident enough to lead, disciplined enough to keep showing up, and courageous enough to pursue what you want.

I am still learning, still growing, still setting goals, and still challenging myself to become better. I refuse to believe that reaching one milestone means I should stop reaching for the next.

My Journey Is Still Being Written

Being recognized in Influential Women Spotlight is an opportunity for me to reflect on how far I have come, appreciate the lessons along the way, and remain excited about what is ahead.

I am proud of my journey, including the challenges that tested me and the experiences that strengthened me. Every chapter has contributed to the woman and professional I am today.

I will continue to lead with integrity, learn with intention, serve with compassion, and encourage others to break barriers of their own.

My goal is not simply to climb the corporate ladder. My goal is to grow while I climb, open doors as I rise, and leave a positive impact wherever God places me.

I am a firm believer that when you remain faithful, stay prepared, continue learning, and refuse to give up on yourself, your possibilities are not limited to where you are today.

This is my journey. This is my growth. And I am just getting started! ✨
