One Day You’ll Stand in Front of Your Own Pyramids
How I Learned That Dreams Do Come True When You Never Stop Believing
When I was a little girl, I dreamed about things that felt impossibly far away.
I dreamed of standing in front of the Pyramids of Giza. I dreamed of having a successful career, earning enough money to move out of the neighborhood where I grew up, owning a car, and even having a cellphone—something that seemed like a luxury back then.
As the years passed, my dreams evolved. Some became bigger, some became deeper. They became less about material things and more about purpose, growth, experiences, and the impact I wanted to have on others.
Today, at 45 years old, I can say with complete conviction: dreams do come true.
Not because life is easy. Not because everything happens exactly as planned. But because dreams have a way of becoming reality when we refuse to stop believing, keep working, and remain open to the unexpected.
Standing Before the Pyramids
I took my first international trip when I was 20 years old, and I fell in love with discovering the world. I made myself a promise: I would travel at least once every year. By God's grace, I've kept that promise ever since.
I've been fortunate to visit many countries, experience different cultures, and create unforgettable memories with friends, family, and even on my own.
But nothing compares to the moment I finally stood before the Pyramids of Giza.
I can't fully describe what I felt. It wasn't just awe at their beauty or admiration for the incredible history they represent. It was something much deeper.
I was looking at a dream that had lived in my heart since childhood—a dream that once seemed impossible—and realizing that I was actually there.
That moment reminded me that sometimes the impossible simply takes longer than we expect.
The Unexpected Turns
Life rarely unfolds according to our timeline. Some dreams arrive later than we planned. Others look completely different from what we imagined. And let’s be clear, sometimes those unexpected turns prepare us for something even better than we could have designed ourselves.
There were seasons when my dreams felt impossible. Times when money was tight, when I questioned my abilities, when life didn't go according to plan, and when I wondered if I was asking for too much. But I've learned that dreaming isn't about ignoring reality—it’s about refusing to let your current circumstances define your future.
Never Stop Dreaming
So celebrate every victory, no matter how big or small.
Every milestone deserves recognition because each one is proof that you're moving forward.
And most importantly, never stop dreaming.
Dream boldly. Dream without apologizing for the size of your aspirations.
Don't put your dreams on hold while you spend your life making everyone else's come true. Your dreams matter too.
Whether your dream is to travel the world, earn a promotion, change careers, start your own business, pursue higher education, learn another language, build a loving family, or simply become the best version of yourself—give yourself permission to pursue it wholeheartedly.
Dreaming is free.
Believing is a choice.
Taking action is what changes everything.
Make the Plan
So make the plan. Save the money. Learn the skill. Take the class. Apply for the opportunity. Ask for the promotion. Book the trip.
One small step, repeated consistently, can take you farther than you ever imagined.
Because one day, you'll find yourself standing in front of your own version of the pyramids, looking back at the person you used to be, and smiling because you never gave up on your dreams.
