Relax, Release, Reset, and Return to Love by Erica Collins
Reclaiming Peace and Purpose Through Love in Turbulent Times
A Call to Action for Influential Women
By Erica Collins
In the midst of the chaos dominating today’s news cycle—depicting an America many of us scarcely recognize—it has become essential to pause and assess the toll this turbulence takes on our mental, physical, and spiritual well-being. As Valentine’s Day approaches, we are offered a timely opportunity to shift our focus toward nurturing—not only others, but ourselves as well.
This is a call to influential women everywhere to lead the charge in healing, restoration, and positive community impact.
The Toll of Turmoil
The impact is undeniable. A relentless stream of unsettling news does more than inform—it exhausts. Over time, this constant exposure erodes peace of mind and seeps into our health, relationships, and sense of hope. Many of us feel depleted, anxious, or disconnected without fully realizing why.
Acknowledging this collective fatigue is the first step toward reclaiming our power and well-being.
Pathways to Peace
So how do we begin to counter this drain on our energy and spirit?
We return to a simple but profound mantra:
Relax. Release. Reset. Return to Love.
Relax
Prioritize rest and stillness. True leadership requires renewal. Whether through meditation, a quiet walk, prayer, or intentionally disconnecting from devices, creating space for calm is not a luxury—it is a necessity.
Release
Let go of what no longer serves you. This includes negative self-talk, toxic relationships, and compulsive doom-scrolling. Clearing mental and emotional clutter creates room for clarity, strength, and peace.
Reset
Reconnect with your values and intentions. When external noise overwhelms us, we can lose sight of what truly matters. Resetting means realigning with personal and professional goals—and recommitting to the actions that move us forward with purpose.
Return to Love
Love is not passive. It is intentional, courageous, and transformative. Begin with self-compassion, then extend kindness, understanding, and grace outward. Love has the power to heal wounds, restore connection, and bridge divides—within ourselves and across communities.
Influence Through Embodiment
As influential women, our power lies not only in our titles or platforms, but in how we show up. By embodying Relax, Release, Reset, and Return to Love, we model a healthier, more grounded way of leading.
Whether through mentoring, community service, advocacy, or simply leading by example, our influence ripples outward. When we choose peace, others notice. When we choose love, others follow.
A Challenge to My Peers
I invite every member of the Influential Women community to take a stand and complete this sentence:
“I return to love by…”
Fill in the blank with your commitment.
It might be volunteering your time, creating a wellness initiative at work, engaging in courageous yet compassionate dialogue, or choosing rest where burnout once lived.
Share your commitment—on social media, in your workplace, within your circles. Let your voice be part of a collective shift.
A Valentine’s Day Reimagined
Let this Valentine’s Day be more than a celebration of romantic love. Let it be a reminder of the love we owe ourselves, our communities, and our future.
Let us become agents of calm in a noisy world.
Carriers of compassion in divided spaces.
Leaders who choose love—not as sentiment, but as action.
Influential women, the time is now.
Lead with love.
Light the way.
Heal yourself—and help heal the world, one intentional act at a time.
