Something so small can have a greater influence than we ever expect.
Finding strength in resilience: a lesson from nature about rising after every fall.
Keep Climbing
A few days ago, I watched something small that left me with a much bigger message.
Outside my home, I noticed a black-and-white wasp dragging a large green katydid. The katydid was much bigger than the wasp, yet the wasp kept pulling it forward.
It climbed the wall of my house, carrying this heavy load. At one point, it fell all the way back down to the patio.
But it did not stop.
The wasp simply started climbing again.
That image stayed with me.
Sometimes, life feels exactly like that. We carry responsibilities, disappointments, worries, dreams, and burdens that seem far too heavy. We work hard, make progress, and then suddenly, something happens, and we find ourselves back on the ground.
It can be tempting to believe that falling means we have failed.
But falling is not the end.
No matter how hard you try, when you fall, get back up.
You may need a moment. You may need to change direction. You may even need help. But one setback does not erase every step you have already taken.
For women rebuilding their careers, businesses, families, health, confidence, or simply themselves, this can be especially important to remember. Strength does not always look like standing tall without ever stumbling.
Sometimes, strength looks like getting back up one more time.
That little wasp probably had no idea anyone was watching.
But that afternoon, it reminded me of something I needed to hear:
Keep climbing.
Your fall does not determine your ending.
