Marge Nellis
Marge Nellis is a seasoned media professional turned multi-passionate entrepreneur, bringing more than 20 years of experience from Turner Broadcasting (WBD) into a new chapter built on empowerment, creativity, and reinvention. After decades working as a DMD Coordinator—managing feeds, training staff across multiple departments, ensuring on-air quality, and serving as a subject-matter expert—Marge found herself navigating sudden job loss at 59. Rather than letting ageism define her future, she used it as fuel to rebuild her identity and purpose. In December 2024, she launched her podcast Imagine Over 50, a platform dedicated to helping people reinvent themselves later in life. She opens every episode with her signature affirmation—“You are strong, intelligent, worthy, and resilient”—which has quickly become a powerful cornerstone of her brand.
In 2025, Marge expanded her creative ventures by founding MC Nellis Travel, a boutique travel agency rooted in storytelling and discovery. She also designed a wedding planner for brides and grooms, supports animal rescue causes, and earned recognition in the October 2025 VoyageATL feature for her authenticity and inspiring reinvention. A proud member of DWHSA, she channels her broadcasting skills into content creation, blending TikTok videos, YouTube storytelling, and travel expertise to captivate and empower her audience.
What Marge is most proud of is her podcast—her mission to help adults reconnect with their inner child, reclaim confidence, and believe in their ability to start again. She firmly believes that once someone reconnects with who they were before life told them who to be, they can achieve anything. Through her voice, her creativity, and her resilience, Marge is building a community centered on courage, self-worth, and new beginnings at any age.

I attribute my success to my unwavering faith in God, which has guided, strengthened, and grounded me through every chapter of my journey.

The best career advice I’ve ever received is to always keep myself real—staying authentic, grounded, and true to who I am no matter the setting.

I would tell young women entering the industry to learn as much as you can, empower yourself through knowledge and confidence, and set healthy boundaries to protect your well-being and growth.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges—and opportunities—in my field right now is navigating the realities of being a self-funded business owner, which requires resilience, creativity, and strategic decision-making every step of the way.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Honesty, authenticity, and my faith guide everything I do—when challenges arise, I pray for clarity and strength—and in my personal life, I find joy in crocheting, baking, and caring for my fur babies, which keep me grounded and grateful.
