Staying the Course: A Career Built on Growth, Grit, and Purpose

Nearly seven years ago, I began my career at TK Elevator with a clear work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a curiosity about how things truly move behind the scenes. What I didn’t yet know was that procurement and supply chain would become not just my profession, but a space where I would grow into my voice, my leadership, and my purpose.

I started my journey as a Purchasing Coordinator, learning the foundational mechanics of procurement—process, precision, and partnership. Early on, I discovered that supply chain is more than transactions and timelines; it’s about relationships, trust, and decision-making that impact the business at every level. As I transitioned into roles such as Operational Buyer and Procurement Analyst, my perspective expanded. I began connecting data to strategy, understanding how sourcing decisions ripple across operations, and recognizing the importance of adaptability in an ever-changing global landscape.

Each role challenged me in new ways. There were moments of complexity, high pressure, and steep learning curves that demanded resilience. But those moments became catalysts for growth. Procurement taught me how to think critically, communicate cross-functionally, and remain steady amid uncertainty—skills that extend far beyond the function itself.

Today, as a Procurement Operations Lead, I have the opportunity to lead with both strategy and empathy. My role is not only about optimizing processes and driving results, but also about supporting people, managing change, and building systems that are sustainable and scalable. Becoming a certified Change Practitioner through Prosci further strengthened my ability to lead transformation thoughtfully—ensuring that progress is not just implemented, but embraced.

Throughout my career at TK Elevator, one lesson has remained constant: staying the course matters. Procurement and supply chain reward consistency, credibility, and a long-term mindset. Growth doesn’t always happen overnight, but it compounds when you commit to learning, show up prepared, and trust yourself through each transition.

Equally important has been my involvement in TK Elevator’s Women’s Business Network, where I’ve supported events and initiatives that create space for connection, mentorship, and empowerment. Being part of a community that uplifts women in the workplace has reinforced my belief that leadership is not just about advancement—it’s about impact.

Looking back, my career has been shaped by curiosity, perseverance, and the willingness to evolve. Looking ahead, I remain committed to growth—both my own and that of the teams and organizations I support. My journey is proof that when you stay the course, invest in yourself, and lead with integrity, meaningful progress follows.
