Success Is Built in the Quiet Moments
Empowering Women: When Purpose Meets Perseverance
Being recognized in Influential Women Magazine is an incredible honor, but the truth is, this recognition represents so much more than a single accomplishment. It represents years of choosing purpose over comfort, perseverance over excuses, and service over recognition.
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of leading initiatives that strengthen organizations, empower communities, and create opportunities for people to thrive. Whether through public service, nonprofit leadership, workforce development, or my consulting work with The Kirby Company, I have learned that true success is not measured by titles or awards. It is measured by the lives you impact, the doors you help open, and the legacy you leave behind.
There have been seasons when the work was difficult, when the vision seemed bigger than the available resources, and when progress felt slow. Yet every challenge reinforced a lesson I now carry with me: purpose requires persistence. The greatest breakthroughs often come after the greatest tests.
As women, we are often expected to wear countless hats while pursuing excellence in every area of our lives. I want every woman reading this to know that you do not have to have every answer before you begin. Growth comes through action, resilience, and a willingness to keep showing up—even when no one is watching.
This recognition is not simply about me. It belongs to every mentor who invested in me, every colleague who challenged me to grow, every organization that trusted my leadership, and every young person, entrepreneur, nonprofit, and community partner who has allowed me to be a small part of their journey.
My hope is that this feature reminds someone that their dreams are valid, their voice matters, and their work has the power to create lasting change. Never underestimate what can happen when preparation meets purpose and passion is paired with intentional action.
Thank you to everyone who has supported my journey. I remain committed to building stronger organizations, developing transformative leaders, and creating opportunities that empower communities for generations to come.
This recognition is not the destination; it is simply another reminder that when purpose leads, impact follows.
