The Career I Never Planned Became My Greatest Purpose
How embracing unexpected opportunities shaped a more meaningful professional journey than any plan could have.
The Career I Planned May Not Be the Career I Built
If someone had asked me years ago where I thought my career would lead, I probably wouldn't have described the path I'm on today.
Like many professionals, I believed success meant following a carefully planned roadmap: earn an education, find the right job, work hard, and continue climbing. While hard work certainly played a role in my journey, I've learned that some of the most meaningful opportunities come from embracing the unexpected.
I began my professional journey by earning an Associate of Arts degree in Business Communication, followed by a Paralegal Certificate through Auburn University. Those educational experiences provided a strong foundation, but I quickly discovered that learning doesn't stop when you leave the classroom. Every new challenge became another opportunity to grow, develop new skills, and discover strengths I didn't know I possessed.
Over the years, my career has evolved in ways I never imagined. I built my experience within the legal profession, ultimately becoming the Office Manager for Quinn Emanuel's Silicon Valley office. In that role, I have had the privilege of supporting attorneys and administrative professionals, improving office operations, mentoring team members, and helping create an environment where others can succeed.
Leadership has taught me that success isn't measured by how much you accomplish on your own. It's measured by the opportunities you create for others, the problems you help solve, and the trust you earn through consistency, integrity, and service.
That Same Philosophy Inspired Me to Establish OGC Business Solutions
While continuing my corporate career, I pursued additional professional credentials that allowed me to serve people in new ways. Today, I am a California Notary Public, National Notary Signing Agent, California Legal Document Assistant, and licensed Life Insurance Professional. I am also the founder of a business dedicated to helping individuals, families, and business owners navigate important life decisions with confidence.
At first glance, these roles may appear unrelated. To me, they all share one common purpose:
Helping people.
Whether I'm supporting a legal team through complex litigation, assisting a family with estate planning documents, facilitating a real estate transaction, helping clients protect their loved ones through life insurance, or providing administrative support to property owners, my goal remains the same: to make complex situations more manageable and provide clarity during some of life's most important moments.
Every Chapter of My Career Has Prepared Me for the Next
I've learned that meaningful careers are rarely built by following a perfectly straight path. Instead, they are built through curiosity, resilience, and the willingness to say "yes" to opportunities that challenge you to grow.

If there's one lesson I hope others take from my journey, it's this:
Don't be discouraged if your career looks different from what you originally envisioned. Some of the greatest opportunities in life aren't part of the plan-they become the plan.
Stay curious. Continue learning. Embrace change. Most importantly, never lose sight of the people you're serving.
Because in the end, success isn't defined by the titles we hold or the credentials we earn. It's defined by the lives we impact, the relationships we build, and the difference we make along the way.
The career I planned may not be the career I built. Looking back, I wouldn't have it any other way.
