From Plymouth State to the World: A Communicator's Journey of Service, Scholarship, and Inspiration
In 2021, Dawn Nyree Sanchez began her journey at Plymouth State University. With the support of numerous mentors and professors, she successfully navigated challenges that once seemed insurmountable. Dawn served as Vice President of Lambda Pi Eta, the national honor society for communication majors, and currently holds a position on the Board of Directors for Health First Family Care in Franklin, New Hampshire.
She completed an internship at Lakes 101.5 FM in Belmont, New Hampshire, and contributed to the 2022 Children’s Christmas Auction in New Hampshire. In the summer of 2023, Dawn was recognized by the New Hampshire Association of Broadcasters and had the honor of presenting at the 2023 NAB Awards in October.
Dawn graduated from Plymouth State University on August 9, 2024, earning her Bachelor’s degree in Communication and Media with Magna Cum Laude honors. She will receive her Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership with honors on May 9, 2025.
In addition to her academic achievements, Dawn has woven public speaking into her professional journey. After marrying and traveling abroad with her husband during his military service, she began motivational speaking with the United States Marine Corps. She is the author of two books, Call to Duty and Now I Know I Am Beautiful, which have led to numerous speaking engagements at military bases around the world. Her travels to countries such as Japan and Thailand have further expanded her opportunities as a speaker.
