Rising Above the Clouds: The Best Business Class Seats and Suites in the World for 2026
We at Brooke In The Air Travel are excited to present the very best business class seats and suites in the world for 2026. Brooke takes it from here.
As of 2026, the 2025 awards have just been released, so these rankings could technically be applied retroactively. Regardless, today’s top business class products represent a significant step above Economy and Premium Economy, while sitting just below First Class in luxury.
Features such as sliding doors, wider seats, premium bedding, and restaurant-style dining have completely transformed the business class experience. In 2025, several international airlines distinguished themselves with products that deliver not only comfort and rest, but also exclusivity and style.
1. Qatar Airways (QR)
Qatar Airways continues to dominate in 2026 with its award-winning Qsuite, a product often described as revolutionary in the business class world.
Passengers enjoy sliding doors for complete privacy, seats that convert into comfortable double beds, and even quad-suite layouts where families or groups can dine and socialize together.
The design balances luxury with functionality, offering wide seats, excellent cushioning, and thoughtful storage spaces. Available primarily on Boeing 777s and Airbus A350s, the Qsuite is most commonly found on long-haul routes connecting Doha with Europe, North America, and Asia.
However, there is never a guarantee of receiving the revered Qsuite, as aircraft substitutions and “equipment changes” are a frequent frustration for travelers.
2. All Nippon Airways (ANA)
ANA, one of Japan’s two flag carriers, has built a strong reputation with “The Room” business class seat, first introduced on its Boeing 777-300ER fleet.
The suite’s design is striking, offering one of the widest business class seats in the industry — nearly rivaling first-class dimensions. With sliding doors, high walls, and elegant aesthetics, passengers enjoy both privacy and exceptional comfort.
The seats convert into fully flat beds, and their width creates the feeling of a private suite rather than a traditional business class seat. ANA primarily deploys these seats on transpacific routes to the United States and on major European services, making them one of the most sought-after ways to travel long-haul to and from Japan.
3. Japan Airlines (JAL)
Japan Airlines has steadily refined its business class offering, with seats designed for comfort and understated luxury.
Its flagship Sky Suite is installed across much of the airline’s long-haul fleet, including Airbus A350s, Boeing 777s, and Boeing 787 Dreamliners. Each seat offers direct aisle access, a fully flat bed, and impressive privacy thanks to staggered layouts and higher walls.
JAL places a strong emphasis on sleep quality, using mattress pads developed in collaboration with Tokyo Nishikawa to improve overnight comfort. Storage solutions are also thoughtfully designed, allowing travelers to organize personal items neatly.
The Sky Suite is commonly found on routes between Tokyo and destinations across North America, Europe, and Asia.
4. Singapore Airlines (SQ)
Singapore Airlines has long been praised for its spacious business class seats and continues refining the product across its fleet.
While many travelers focus on the luxurious Singapore Suites in First Class aboard the Airbus A380, the airline’s business class product is equally impressive. On Airbus A350s and Boeing 777s, the seats are exceptionally wide, allowing passengers to stretch out comfortably or sleep diagonally in bed mode.
The leather-upholstered seats feature high privacy walls, generous storage, and elegant finishes in dark leather and brushed metal. Although the airline does not currently offer sliding doors in business class, the spaciousness more than compensates.
These seats are primarily deployed on long-haul routes to Europe, the United States, and Australia, where comfort and space are essential.
5. STARLUX Airlines (JX)
As one of the newest players in premium travel, Taiwan’s STARLUX Airlines has quickly established itself with a stylish and modern business class product.
Its Airbus A350s feature seats with sliding privacy doors, elegant finishes, and fully flat beds designed for both solo travelers and couples. The cabin design feels modern yet welcoming, enhanced by mood lighting and intelligently designed storage spaces.
On long-haul routes to the United States and key destinations throughout Asia, passengers enjoy wireless charging, large entertainment screens, and luxurious bedding. STARLUX also focuses on small details, including signature cabin scents and curated amenity kits, which elevate the overall experience.
6. Cathay Pacific (CX)
Cathay Pacific’s business class remains one of the most consistently respected products in the industry.
Its reverse-herringbone layout gives every passenger direct aisle access, while high seat backs and angled positioning provide strong privacy. Found on Airbus A350s and Boeing 777s, the seats convert into fully flat beds and are complemented by Bamford bedding and oversized pillows.
Cathay Pacific’s focus on practicality is evident through thoughtful storage compartments and spacious work surfaces. Routes between Hong Kong, Europe, and North America showcase the product particularly well, offering travelers an excellent balance of comfort and functionality.
Although the design may not be as flashy as suites with doors, it excels in reliability and overall passenger comfort.
7. Lufthansa (LH)
Lufthansa has introduced its new Allegris business class suite in an effort to modernize its long-haul premium offering.
Each passenger receives direct aisle access, and the cabin includes multiple seat styles, including suites with doors, extra-long beds, and paired seats designed for couples traveling together.
The product features elegant finishes in neutral tones that reflect Lufthansa’s clean and understated design philosophy. These seats are now appearing on Airbus A350s and Boeing 787s operating long-haul routes from Munich and Frankfurt to North America and Asia.
Comfort improvements include enhanced cushioning, adjustable lighting, intuitive storage, and premium bedding designed to improve sleep quality.
8. Air France (AF)
Air France has elevated its premium cabin experience with newly designed business class suites featuring sliding privacy doors and refined styling.
Upholstered in premium materials with accents of wood and leather, the seats feel both luxurious and contemporary. Each suite converts into a full-length flat bed and includes large entertainment screens and practical storage spaces.
Available on Boeing 777-300ERs and Airbus A350s, these suites are primarily deployed on routes between Paris and destinations in North America and Asia.
Combined with luxury bedding and stylish amenity kits, the experience captures the essence of modern French elegance while delivering the privacy and comfort expected in world-class business class.
9. Delta Air Lines (DL)
Delta was among the first U.S. carriers to introduce doors in business class, and the Delta One Suite remains a highly regarded product.
With sliding doors, high walls, and a thoughtfully designed reverse-herringbone layout, the suite offers excellent privacy and comfort. Each seat converts into a fully flat bed, complemented by Westin Heavenly bedding designed to improve rest on long-haul flights.
The entertainment system features large screens with extensive content options, and the suite includes generous storage for personal belongings.
Delta primarily deploys these suites on long-haul routes to Europe and Asia, where the airline competes directly with top Asian and Middle Eastern carriers. The design feels both modern and practical, striking a balance that appeals to frequent travelers.
10. American Airlines (AA)
American Airlines offers a competitive business class product, particularly on its Boeing 777-300ERs and Boeing 787 Dreamliners.
Its Super Diamond reverse-herringbone seats provide direct aisle access, strong privacy, and comfortable fully flat beds. Although the product does not include sliding doors, the seats are spacious and feature practical storage and user-friendly controls.
These seats are commonly found on American’s long-haul services from Dallas, Miami, and New York to Europe, Asia, and South America.
Casper bedding, improved catering, and upgraded wine selections help enhance the overall experience. Entertainment is delivered through large high-definition screens with streaming capabilities that appeal to both leisure and business travelers.
Final Thoughts
The business class experience in 2025 and 2026 is defined by privacy, spacious seating, and refined details that transform long-haul travel into something far more comfortable and enjoyable.
While Qatar Airways’ Qsuite continues to set the benchmark, its availability can be inconsistent due to aircraft substitutions. Meanwhile, competitors such as ANA, Singapore Airlines, and STARLUX are continuing to push design boundaries with increasingly refined premium products.
European carriers are blending elegance with practicality, while U.S. airlines are finally introducing enclosed suites to remain competitive on the global stage.
Whether traveling for business or leisure, these cabins demonstrate just how far business class has evolved — and how much further it may still go.
In my opinion, rankings like these often overlook United Airlines’ Polaris business class, which deserves recognition among the world’s best, while American Airlines often continues to rank lower overall despite improvements.
