From Job Loss to Purpose: How One Professional Built a Business in Three Days
For more than 25 years, I dedicated my career to medical billing and revenue cycle management. I loved helping practices succeed, solving complex problems, and building systems that allowed providers to focus on what mattered most their patients.
Then everything changed.
On June 2, 2025, I was told my position was being eliminated.
Like so many professionals, I was faced with uncertainty. I wondered what my future would look like after investing decades into a career I genuinely loved.
The next day, my daughter said something I'll never forget.
She looked at me and said,
"What you do for everyone else... why don't you do it for yourself?"
Those words changed everything.
Three days later, on June 6, 2025, KLH Medical Billing & Consulting, LLC was born.
I didn't start my business because I had every answer.
I started because I believed that years of experience deserved a new purpose.
Today, I help behavioral health organizations strengthen their revenue cycle, improve operational workflows, navigate credentialing, and build healthier businesses so providers can spend more time caring for the people who need them most.
Looking back, losing my job wasn't the end of my career.
It was the beginning of my calling.
Entrepreneurship has taught me that success isn't simply measured by revenue or titles.
Sometimes success is waking up every morning knowing you're walking in your purpose.
