Ten minutes with Aishwarya
01What do you attribute your success to?
My success is deeply rooted in the independence I developed from an early age. My father instilled in me the confidence to make my own decisions — and more importantly, to own them fully, regardless of the outcome. That freedom taught me one of the most valuable lessons I carry to this day: every decision, whether it leads to success or failure, is an opportunity to learn and grow.
I have never believed in regret. When you take ownership of your choices, every experience — even the setbacks — becomes a stepping stone. That mindset has shaped not only my career but also the way I approach challenges, adapt to change, and continue to push forward.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I ever received came from a former manager who saw potential in me long before I saw it in myself. While I struggled with self-doubt, he consistently believed in my abilities and pushed me to recognize my own capabilities. His confidence in me became a turning point — it made me realize that if someone who had observed my work closely believed I could do anything, perhaps it was time I believed it too.
That experience taught me the most powerful lesson of my career: never let self-doubt define your limits. Nothing is truly impossible when you show up with effort, persistence, and an open mind. Opportunities rarely announce themselves — they reveal themselves to those who are prepared and willing to try.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My biggest piece of advice is simple: be self-reliant. Financial and professional independence is one of the most empowering things a woman can build for herself. Whether you are just starting out or returning after a career break, walk back in with your head held high — your experience and resilience are assets, not liabilities.
The industry is more welcoming than ever, but you have to be willing to show up for yourself first. When you earn your own way and stand on your own two feet, confidence follows naturally. Don't wait for permission to take up space in your field — claim it.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Without question, the rapid evolution of Artificial Intelligence is the defining force shaping the fintech landscape today. AI presents both a challenge and an opportunity — it is reshaping roles, automating processes, and raising the bar for what professionals need to know. The risk of being left behind is real, but so is the opportunity for those who embrace it.
My advice is to stay curious and commit to continuous learning. The professionals who will thrive are not those who compete with AI, but those who leverage it while bringing uniquely human judgment, ethics, and expertise to the table. In a world of automation, being more than AI is the ultimate competitive advantage.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
At the core of everything I do are two values I hold deeply: faith, belief, discipline and punctuality. For me, these are not just professional habits — they are a way of life.
I believe that discipline begins long before you step into the workplace. When you build structure into your daily routine — whether through morning habits, exercise, or simply honoring your commitments on time — you develop a level of consistency that carries over into every aspect of your life. That consistency becomes your foundation for managing pressure, navigating stress, and showing up at your best, both personally and professionally.
In a demanding field like fintech, where deadlines and precision matter enormously, these values are not optional — they are essential. Discipline keeps you focused, and punctuality signals respect — for your work, for your commitments, and for the people around you. Together, they have been the two pillars of my success.
