Her Interview
Ten minutes with Alexandra
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to a persistent learning mindset and a strong eagerness to explore and master new domains, along with the guidance I’ve received from exceptional mentors such as Alexandra Walker and Tyler Munson, whose leadership has been instrumental in my growth and development; additionally, my upbringing instilled in me a strong sense of responsibility and a service-oriented mindset that continues to shape how I approach my work and support others professionally.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received didn’t come as a formal statement, but through my single teen mother’s example of strength, perseverance, and determination. Watching her navigate challenges while providing for our family taught me the importance of resilience, hard work, and refusing to let circumstances define my future. Those early lessons continue to guide me today, inspiring me to lead with courage and compassion, and to approach every challenge with the belief that persistence and purpose can make meaningful outcomes possible.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would encourage young women entering healthcare administration, operations, or executive support roles to build a strong foundation of reliability, punctuality, and clear communication, as these qualities establish trust and create opportunities for long-term growth and leadership. I also emphasize the importance of setting healthy boundaries, advocating for oneself, and being mindful not to take on additional responsibilities solely due to gender-based expectations. Most importantly, I believe in speaking up with confidence, choosing words intentionally, and recognizing the value and perspective each woman brings to every space she enters.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
I recognize that women in leadership, healthcare administration, and executive support often face challenges such as workplace expectations, invisible labor, and gender-based assumptions about responsibilities, along with the need to balance collaboration and self-advocacy while ensuring their contributions are recognized. At the same time, there are strong opportunities for women to lead in shaping organizational culture, operations, and employee engagement, especially as organizations increasingly value emotional intelligence and people-centered leadership. I believe these shifts position women to drive meaningful change and help build more inclusive and effective workplaces.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Family is at the center of my life and serves as my greatest source of motivation and purpose. I value kindness, honesty, compassion, empathy, integrity, and ethical leadership in both my personal and professional relationships. Throughout my career, I have championed community service and helped bring volunteer initiatives to every organization I’ve worked with over the past eleven years, including Salvation Army Christmas donation drives and other outreach efforts. I believe kindness goes beyond being “nice”—it requires honesty, accountability, and a genuine commitment to helping others grow. To maintain balance and show up fully for those who depend on me, I also prioritize self-care, reflection, and restoration.
