Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I credit my success to a blend of extensive operational experience and the invaluable guidance of exceptional mentors throughout my career. Influential leaders—such as the president of Washington Penn—along with personal role models like Nancy Moore, my incredible aunt, instilled in me the principles of adaptability and resilience. Their counsel and example have been instrumental in shaping my leadership style and enabling me to navigate complex challenges with confidence and clarity.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I ever received came from someone who was actually turning me down for a job. I was about 22 years old and had applied to an administrative-level position. He said, “I could hire you, and you would excel in this role. But I also know you’re capable of far more—and I want to challenge you to aim for my job someday.” Coming from an Executive President, that message carried tremendous weight. His confidence in my potential reshaped how I viewed my career and pushed me to pursue opportunities well beyond what I believed possible at the time.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is to ensure your voice is heard. That may mean having the courage to propose a new idea, advocating for a raise or promotion, or leaning on your support network when needed. Once you establish credibility through your work ethic, consistency, and drive, opportunities will follow. Confidence grows with experience, but it begins with speaking up—because your perspective, skills, and contributions matter.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenge in my field right now is economic uncertainty. Over the past two years, I’ve seen production surge rapidly, only to be followed by sudden downsizing. These fluctuations—driven by shifting demand and broader market instability—are creating conditions where leadership must remain highly adaptable.

While disruptive, this environment also presents an opportunity. Those who are willing to embrace uncertainty, pivot quickly, and lead with flexibility have the chance to truly stand out. The leaders who succeed will be the ones who stay focused, communicate clearly, and guide their teams confidently through constant change.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me are balance, growth, and connection—both personally and professionally. I love spending time outdoors with my two dogs, hiking, and reading, which keeps me grounded and energized. Professionally, I’m deeply committed to supporting women in manufacturing and mentoring emerging women leaders, helping them grow and thrive in their careers.
