Cassandra Benere
Cassandra Benere is an educator and creative professional dedicated to teaching, mentorship, and student development. She currently works as a substitute teacher in the Napa area, covering districts including Calistoga and St. Helena, while continuing to teach dance in studios, in-school programs, and for special events such as weddings and father daughter or mother son dances. With experience teaching students from preschool through 11th grade, including special needs and high school classes, she is known for creating engaging, inclusive learning environments that foster confidence, creativity, and joy.
Cassandra’s professional philosophy centers on giving back to the community through teaching and performance. She strives to create moments that make students smile, build confidence, and ensure that every student feels respected and capable. Growing up in an education-focused household and training under esteemed dance instructors Sandy Nugent and Holly Johnson, she developed a foundation in both instruction and performance that informs her teaching today.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications with a Minor in Dance from Arizona State University, where she served as President of her Honors Fraternity, and is pursuing a formal teaching credential. Outside the classroom, Cassandra is passionate about dance, choreography, outdoor activities, reading with her young daughter, and exploring Napa Valley’s culinary scene with her father. She also supports organizations such as Relay for Life and March of Dimes, viewing professional recognition as an opportunity to connect with other leaders and continue making a meaningful impact in education and the arts.
