Q

What do you attribute your success to?

When my husband left, I found myself raising two children on my own in a foreign country, facing one of the most difficult periods of my life. I struggled to pay rent, manage daily expenses, and navigate an uncertain future. There were moments when I didn’t know what to do or how to move forward. But when I looked at my children, everything became clear. I realized that I was not only responsible for their future, but also for showing them what strength, resilience, and determination truly look like. That realization became my turning point. Instead of giving up, I chose to rise. I chose to rebuild my life from the ground up. I began my educational journey, balancing studies, work, and motherhood. It was not easy, but every step forward gave me more strength and confidence. My children became my greatest inspiration, they gave me purpose, motivation, and the courage to keep going, even in the hardest moments.

From a young age, I have always dreamed of helping people, and that dream became stronger through my own life experiences. Today, I am on the path to becoming an attorney, driven by a deep commitment to support others, protect their rights, and make a meaningful difference in their lives. My journey has taught me that no matter how difficult life may seem, you have the power to rise, to rebuild, and to create a future far greater than you once imagined.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

One of the best pieces of career advice I’ve ever received is to never limit myself and to trust my own path, even when it feels uncertain. I was told that growth doesn’t come from comfort—it comes from taking responsibility, staying consistent, and believing in your ability to move forward, even when you don’t have all the answers. This advice has guided me throughout my journey, especially as a single mother building a life in a new country. It reminded me that success is not about where you start, but about your determination to keep going. I have also been fortunate to learn from professionals and attorneys I’ve worked with, whose dedication and work ethic inspired me to grow and pursue my goals in the legal field. Their example showed me the importance of professionalism, integrity, and continuous learning. What keeps me motivated is my desire to create a better future for my children and to make a meaningful impact in the lives of others. My core values are resilience, responsibility, empathy, and growth. Looking ahead, my goal is to become a licensed immigration attorney and continue expanding my career by building a practice where people feel supported, respected, and understood. I also hope to inspire other women, especially those facing challenges, to believe in themselves, invest in their growth, and never give up on their dreams.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this field is to believe in themselves and not be afraid to start, even if they don’t feel fully ready. Growth comes with experience, and confidence develops over time. It’s important to stay consistent, keep learning, and not be discouraged by challenges or setbacks. Every difficulty is an opportunity to grow stronger and wiser. I would also encourage them to seek knowledge, ask questions, and surround themselves with people who support their development. At the same time, it’s important to trust your own voice and not compare your journey to others. Most importantly, remember why you started. If you are passionate about helping people, especially in fields like immigration law, your work can truly make a meaningful difference in someone’s life. Stay focused, stay resilient, and never give up on your goals.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in immigration law today is the complexity and constant change in regulations and policies. This creates uncertainty not only for clients, but also for professionals who are trying to guide them accurately. Many clients come with urgent situations, emotional stress, and limited understanding of the process, which makes clear communication and careful case management essential. At the same time, I see this as an opportunity. There is a growing need for professionals who can provide reliable guidance, build trust, and support clients through these complex processes. Technology and access to information are also creating new ways to connect with clients and serve diverse communities more effectively.

For me, this field offers the opportunity to make a real impact by helping people navigate life-changing situations with clarity, confidence, and support.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that are most important to me, both in my work and in my personal life, are integrity, responsibility, empathy, and resilience. Integrity means being honest and professional in everything I do, especially when clients trust me with important aspects of their lives. Responsibility is essential, because I understand that my work can directly impact someone’s future. Empathy allows me to truly understand my clients’ situations and support them not only professionally, but also on a human level. And resilience has been a key value in my own journey, it has helped me overcome challenges and continue moving forward. I believe these values guide my decisions, shape my work, and help me build trust with the people I serve.
