Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I have always believed that leadership is less about position and more about purpose. It is about the courage to stand in complex spaces, the willingness to advocate for people and equity, and the discipline to build systems that truly work. My journey as Founder and Principal of The GB Collective Consulting, LLC is rooted in that belief.

I created The GB Collective because I saw leaders navigating extraordinary challenges—managing transformation, stewarding people, and making decisions that shape communities—yet often without the strategic grounding, cultural alignment, or trusted partnership they deserved. I wanted to build a firm that does more than advise from the sidelines. I wanted to walk alongside leaders, strengthen their confidence, sharpen their strategy, and help them build environments where people, organizations, and missions thrive.

My leadership has been shaped through high-impact work across public health, education, and executive leadership ecosystems. I have led through change, guided leaders through uncertainty, and helped organizations evolve into stronger, more aligned versions of themselves. Whether I am supporting governance reform, workforce development, culture transformation, or executive strategy, I anchor my work in clarity, compassion, accountability, and impact.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

“Let your integrity be your brand, and your work speak louder than your title.”

That guidance has stayed with me at every stage of my journey. It taught me to focus on substance over recognition, preparation over position, and impact over visibility. Titles may open doors, but character, consistency, and excellence are what keep you in the room—and create opportunities that last.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Know your value early and refuse to negotiate it away.

Build your expertise with intention, lead with integrity, and let your faith and purpose ground you when challenges arise. You will encounter rooms where your voice is tested—speak anyway. Seek excellence, not perfection, and remember that leadership is learned through courage, consistency, and service.

Most importantly, do not wait to be chosen. Prepare yourself, trust your calling, and step forward with confidence, knowing you belong and your impact is needed.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

In the field of leadership consulting and organizational transformation, there are both significant challenges and equally powerful opportunities shaping how leaders and organizations evolve. The landscape is changing rapidly, and navigating it effectively requires clarity, adaptability, and intentional leadership. Leadership today looks nothing like it did a decade ago. The pace of change, the complexity of systems, and the expectations of the workforce have fundamentally shifted what effective leadership requires. Technical expertise alone is no longer enough. Leaders are being called to navigate ambiguity, build trust across difference, and lead people through constant change.

This moment presents a powerful opportunity: to redefine leadership as both strategic and human-centered. Organizations that embrace this shift are seeing stronger engagement, better decision-making, and more resilient cultures. Those that resist it risk falling behind.

The future belongs to leaders who can align vision with execution, performance with purpose, and authority with accountability. This is not a challenge to fear—it is an invitation to lead better, bolder, and more intentionally than ever before.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that guide me—both professionally and personally—are deeply interconnected and intentional. They shape how I lead, how I serve, and how I show up in every space.

Faith is my foundation. It grounds my decisions, strengthens my resilience, and reminds me that my work is a calling, not just a career. Faith keeps me anchored in purpose, humility, and integrity.

Integrity is non-negotiable. I believe in doing what is right even when it is difficult or unseen. Trust is built through consistency, transparency, and accountability, and I hold myself to the same standards I expect of others.

Purpose and Service drive my work. I am committed to creating impact that extends beyond outcomes to people. Whether supporting leaders or shaping systems, my focus is on meaningful, lasting change that uplifts others and strengthens communities.

Excellence matters to me. I believe excellence is not perfection—it is discipline, preparation, and a commitment to continuous growth.
