Gwen Buchanan is a dedicated physical therapist with over 30 years of experience, currently working as a per diem outpatient therapist across multiple clinics in rural Pennsylvania. She thrives on the challenge of stepping into diverse clinical settings, quickly learning patient histories, and providing personalized care for a wide range of orthopedic and other conditions. Her practice is defined by accountability, honesty, and a patient-centered approach, always prioritizing what her patients need above all else.

Gwen’s career spans a variety of settings, including long-term acute care, where she specialized in wound care for over a decade and helped develop a recognized wound care program. She has balanced her clinical expertise with creative pursuits and community engagement, combining her love of movement, outdoor adventure, and the arts with her professional life. Her personal resilience is notable—she has overcome multiple traumatic injuries and hip replacements, completing an Appalachian Trail thru-hike just months after her last surgery.

Outside of her clinical work, Gwen is deeply involved in her community, serving as vice president of the Wyaloosin Community Theater and participating in local search-and-rescue training. She enjoys running, hiking, backpacking, and creating art from nature, embracing an active lifestyle that mirrors her professional philosophy: a body in motion stays in motion. Gwen’s life and career reflect a balance of discipline, creativity, and a commitment to helping others achieve their highest potential.
