Her Interview

Ten minutes with Jacquie

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to the values instilled in me by my family, especially the guidance of my grandfather, who once told me, “We sacrificed so that all of you could be successful, so be better than me.” As a first-generation college graduate, I have always been mindful of the limited opportunities my parents and grandparents had, and their experiences have deeply shaped my perspective on education and perseverance. Their sacrifices continue to motivate me to strive for more, honor their legacy, and build on what they worked so hard to create for our family.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My best advice would be for women to go scared. You might not have all the answers, but just do it anyway. If you have a dream, if you have a goal, if you have a desire, just start somewhere, and don't be afraid to fail. Learn, iterate, grow, and keep going.
