What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to starting from the ground up and gaining a deep understanding of all aspects of operations. This foundation has been strengthened by persistent hard work and consistency in everything I do. I also prioritize leading by example, which has helped me build accountable teams and foster a person-centered culture.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received was from a supervisor who encouraged me to complete my bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a healthcare focus. Taking that advice to heart, I pursued and finished my degree while also raising my family. That experience reinforced the importance of continuous learning, perseverance, and investing in my long-term professional growth.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would advise young women entering my industry to lead with passion and a clear sense of purpose, trust their voice, and not wait to be invited into leadership—step into it. Commit to continuous learning across all areas, because knowledge builds confidence and power. Growth comes from taking ownership, doing the hard work, and staying consistent even on difficult days. Over time, confidence is built through action, and you’ll be surprised by how far you can go when you keep showing up and trusting yourself.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenges and opportunities in my field right now include managing staffing and compliance while scaling operations, as well as maintaining the human side of care as organizations grow. There is also a strong need to strengthen community partnerships to better support those we serve. At the same time, addressing the gender imbalance in senior leadership presents an important opportunity to create more diverse, inclusive, and effective leadership teams.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are person-centered care, integrity, accountability, and compassion. I am also deeply committed to building and contributing to a culture that sustains mission and purpose, ensuring that decisions and actions consistently reflect what is best for the people and communities we serve.
