Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to guidance, persistence, and a commitment to authenticity and service. My career began in accounting at Deloitte before transitioning to IT staffing, where I’ve spent nearly 18 years. As Co‑Founder and CEO of Summit Group Solutions, LLC, I lead a dynamic team focused on professional development, operational excellence, and meaningful impact, while also supporting others through thought leadership.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

For young women entering my industry, I encourage you to be bold in seeking out mentorship and building your network. Don’t hesitate to reach out to leaders—many are willing to share their knowledge and experiences, even if your career path ultimately takes a different direction. In today’s digital world, I’ve found that face-to-face connections remain invaluable, creating meaningful relationships and opening doors to opportunities that might not arise online.

I am also deeply passionate about supporting women and children affected by domestic violence. One organization close to my heart is Hushaby Nursery in Arizona, which provides a nurturing environment for babies born to drug-addicted mothers. Their innovative approach—including maintaining a calm, dark environment—has demonstrated remarkable outcomes compared to traditional neonatal care, and I find it inspiring to support initiatives that make a tangible difference in the lives of vulnerable families.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that guide me in both my work and personal life are honesty, humility, and heart. These principles keep me grounded, centered, and focused on making meaningful connections. My educational background—including a BA in Accounting, a minor in Economics, and participation in the Ascend program at the University of Washington, where I now have the privilege of coaching—has shaped my approach to leadership. I also completed the Certificate of Excellence program for entrepreneurs at Rutgers, and my leadership skills were further honed through 20 years of ministry work, which taught me the value of genuine people connections that I carry into my professional endeavors.

Outside of work, I enjoy staying active and connected to nature. I grew up dancing hula, and today I find joy in skiing, walking my dogs in the snow, and spending time with my family. I am passionate about animals, including my two Labrador Retrievers, and I treasure the moments we spend together playing board games, where I delight in watching my children showcase their negotiation skills during Christmas Monopoly.

These experiences and values together shape who I am, guiding my career decisions, personal relationships, and the way I engage with my community.
