About Jessica
Jessica Martin is a business consultant and workflow systems creator based in California’s Central Valley. She is the founder of a consulting practice launched in March 2026, focused on helping small and mid-sized businesses develop structured, repeatable systems that improve efficiency, employee performance, and operational consistency. She is also the creator of “Your Guide to a Standard Workflow,” a practical training booklet and presentation designed to help organizations implement clear, actionable standard operating procedures.
Her professional background spans food service operations, corporate distribution, supply chain management, and legal administration studies. Prior to launching her consulting business, she gained extensive experience in account management, logistics, vendor relations, compliance, and operations within a production and co-packing environment. This cross-industry experience informs her systems-based approach, emphasizing practical workflows that teams can realistically follow and sustain.
In her current role, she combines consulting services with workforce development tools, helping organizations strengthen internal structure, improve onboarding, and build employee confidence through clarity and consistency. Her work is grounded in a people-centered philosophy, focusing on empowering employees at every level to perform effectively regardless of title. She is also actively engaged in professional and community support networks, including SHRM and MOPS, which contribute to her continued growth and leadership development.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Jessica
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the support and guidance I’ve received from my business coach, Rhonda, as well as strong role models in my life, including my grandparents and mentors in HR. I’ve also learned from both positive and negative examples, which shaped how I choose to lead. My faith, personal growth practices, and support from groups like MOPS and my family have all played an important role in my development.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve received is to stay resilient and not take things personally. I’ve learned the importance of continuing to grow, listening actively, and taking care of the people you lead. It’s also important to use available resources and seek help when needed instead of trying to do everything alone.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice is to stay resilient and confident, even when things are challenging. Keep learning, practice active listening, and focus on supporting your team. Don’t be afraid to seek guidance or refer to others when needed. Take care of yourself as a leader, and remember that growth comes from both experience and continuous learning.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest opportunity in my field is helping small and mid-sized businesses become more visible and structured through better systems and workforce development tools. The challenge is balancing the demands of entrepreneurship, wearing multiple hats, and stepping outside of comfort zones to grow a consulting practice while maintaining consistency.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me are helping others, resilience, continuous learning, servant leadership, and family. I also value setting a strong example for my children and building systems that support both employee success and organizational growth.
