Jodi Staupe, M.A., is a seasoned Learning and Development professional with a rich background in adult education, corporate training, and organizational development. Currently serving as the Organizational Development and Training Partner at Great River Energy, Jodi brings over two decades of expertise in instructional design, educational technology, and human resources to create impactful learning experiences. Her work emphasizes blending technology with traditional training methods to advance learning objectives in fast-paced, challenging environments. Known for her strong interpersonal skills and cross-cultural sensitivity, she fosters environments that promote both cognitive growth and harmonious workplace relationships.

Prior to joining Great River Energy, Jodi honed her skills at organizations such as Donaldson, TCF Bank, CBRE, and Cargill, where she designed and facilitated global performance management programs, led leadership development initiatives, and implemented large-scale learning strategies for thousands of employees. Her experience spans classroom instruction, virtual learning, web-based training, and program management, reflecting her adaptability and commitment to effective adult learning. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a consistent ability to combine creativity, technology, and problem-solving to enhance organizational performance.

Jodi holds a Master’s degree in Human Resources and Change Leadership from the University of St. Thomas - Opus College of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Bemidji State University. She is also certified in Korn Ferry Leadership Architect and Voices 360, among other credentials. Passionate about making a difference, Jodi continues to leverage her expertise to develop leaders, elevate employee engagement, and drive organizational growth, while remaining dedicated to creating learning environments that are both engaging and effective.

I attribute my success to embracing every opportunity for growth, continuously advancing my education, and gaining diverse experiences across multiple industries that shaped my expertise in learning, development, and leadership.

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I ever received came from my mentor and manager, Rachel Roen, who taught me to lead with trust, worthiness, kindness, and empathy—values that are especially important in today’s climate.

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is to be brave and curious—don’t be afraid to try new things, speak up, ask questions, and remember that when one door closes, a better path may be waiting behind another.

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me are family, faith, and community—spending quality time with my husband, six children, friends, and church family keeps me grounded. I’m also deeply committed to safety, service, and giving back, whether through initiatives like the “Be the One” safety campaign or supporting organizations like the Muscular Dystrophy Association and Firefly Sisterhood.
