Q

What do you attribute your success to?

To the extremely Strong line of successful women who walked before me, and never gave up on me.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

That compared to prior generations, I "Got it Made", and it honestly took time for me to fully grasp the honesty in the phrase. I credit this to the increasing ease made available to generations under me.

While I greatly appreciate the resources made available with time, lets face it, people born after Year 2000, have a spectacular resourceful tool known as the internet. I could not even imagine having a smart phone in school lol It is kinda amazing when you came up with the whole WWW birth to extreme massive development. The same happened in my career, it grows, things changed, people adapted, it was fine. Life can generate a pretty amazing time line. Develop yours wisely, and enjoy it along the way, every single chance you get!

Time waits for no one. Growth happens with time.

Allocate Wisely. Learn and Teach. Celebrate any milestones, those were once goals! Time spent on career goals to me seems like a great investment. Essentially, you're betting(investing), on Yourself!

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Make a Decision.

Always prepare yourself for what you.decide to do, have a plan for your plan.

Stay focused, educated, guided, and apply your best efforts always.

Strive for confidence to be able to take pride in and ownership of your achievements.

Surround yourself with positivity, inspirational, and influential people you can.

Always set goals, and remember altering them for the better is encouraged.

Identify your greatest attributes, challenge yourself to increase them.

Identify and remember the value you hold, and never settle.

Decide what is best for you.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

I am sure my field will always have challenges. The broad coverage, various positions and options to take, the unique Strategizing encouraged to explore the best. The complex calculations and determinations to make for the best filing result.

The passion and dedication to survive consecutive busy seasons.

The Learning and trainings necessary for continued success. The possible changes imposed by newly elected government officials, such as changes with applying "The Big Beautiful Bill Act", for the upcoming 2025 Tax Year.

One for me currently is maintaining the patience I need to achieve my CPA license.
