Q

What do you attribute your success to?

Most of my success comes from my connections within my family. I have pursued an unconventional career path where I left home at a very young age, and most of my career and most of my life outside, I've been alone, away from family. I think my family was still the strongest support system for me when I was going out there and conquering the world. Almost all my success is attributed to them.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Based on my career trajectory, I would say the best career advice is to say yes to everything that is outside your comfort zone.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would advise young women to keep educating themselves, as continuous learning is the way to go forward. AI is moving really fast, but I think the next leap in AI, humans in the loop should be front and center. Otherwise, we'll just get lost in the AI. My advice to all the young ones out there, especially women, is to trust their inner voice, to trust their humanity as much as they can, and to say yes to continuous learning.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

When it comes to my field, I think about tech and data. The biggest opportunity right now is to leverage AI and see how that could be made better for the humans. It is not AI versus humans. It is AI for humans, and that is one of the biggest opportunities. I see a lot of push and pull out there about people using AI versus people not using AI, but people who are using AI are succeeding 10 times faster, so the opportunity there is how to make it better for humans.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I stick to my authentic voice. My biggest value system comes from within, so I try to stay focused on my inner GPS, rather than the outside noise coming from social media and from societal expectations or glass ceilings. I pay attention to my inner navigation and my inner voice, trying to bring it out and trying to gain as much authenticity in my voice as possible.
