What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to believing in myself as well as my desire to help others and my genuine love for baking—especially the joy of perfecting cakes and creating something meaningful for people.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

If you do something you love and are passionate about it, then it won’t be work.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Have confidence in yourself and your ability and always believe in your vision.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

I would say the rising cost of supplies can be challenging. The biggest opportunity as I see it is that no matter how many people are doing a cake business, everyone’s work is unique just as people are so there will never be a time when your work isn’t valuable.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are honesty, respect, commitment, and my dedication to family and my commitment to doing things with care, pride, and a strong attention to detail by putting my heart into my creativity.
