Marci Roche, JD, SHRM-SCP, is a seasoned attorney and human resources professional. With extensive experience in legal research, labor and employment law, employee relations, policy development, and full-cycle recruitment, Marci is recognized for her ability to bridge the intersection of law and human resources, creating compliant, equitable, and efficient workplace solutions. Licensed in Minnesota, she has also guided organizations through complex investigations, mergers and acquisitions, and change management initiatives. Marci holds a Doctor of Law degree from Mitchell Hamline School of Law and a Certificate in Global Arbitration and Law Studies from Queen Mary University of London. She also earned a Master’s in Human Resource Management from Keller Graduate School of Management and a Graduate Certificate in Project Management. In addition, she holds certifications from the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM-SCP) and HRCI (SPHR), as well as certifications in Advanced and Essential Legal Research. Her professional journey includes senior HR leadership roles with Reinsurance Group of America, Honeywell Aerospace, US Foods, and Air Products, reflecting her commitment to both organizational excellence and employee development. Outside of her professional pursuits, Marci is an avid snowboarder and open-water diver enthusiast and enjoys playing pickleball. She is also deeply committed to community service, volunteering with local food pantries and animal shelters. Balancing a demanding career with a love for adventure and giving back, Marci exemplifies a holistic approach to leadership, law, and human resources.

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to view every failure as a learning opportunity and keep moving forward. Stay curious, ask questions, and never stop exploring new possibilities.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Currently, the biggest challenge is adjusting to how AI will contribute to the legal field in practice while ensuring compliance.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
To embrace all situations with empathy and kindness in a world that seems to be moving away from that.
