Owings Mills, MD 21117

Natalie Thompson is an accomplished office services leader, pastor, and community advocate with more than 35 years of experience in the accounting industry. Her career began as an administrative assistant and steadily advanced through a series of leadership roles that showcased her organizational expertise and people-centered management style. Over the years, she has supervised administrative teams, managed office operations for large accounting firms, and led teams of up to 26 employees. Today, Natalie serves as Office Services Manager for the Greater Washington, D.C. market at BDO USA, where she oversees operations across six offices throughout Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C. Her role requires extensive coordination, travel, and collaboration, making her a trusted leader within one of the world’s leading accounting organizations.

Alongside her professional accomplishments, Natalie has dedicated nearly two decades to ministry and outreach. Seventeen years ago, she and her husband founded Kingdom Deliverance Ministries International in their living room with only a handful of people. What began as a small gathering has grown into an international ministry with outreach efforts extending across the United States, El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras. Through their outreach arm, One Touch Outreach, Natalie works with churches, orphanages, and underserved communities, helping provide support services, distribute resources, and assist in building schools abroad. Locally, the ministry also serves homeless communities in Baltimore and Owings Mills, reflecting her lifelong commitment to faith, compassion, and service.

In addition to her work in business and ministry, Natalie is passionate about empowering women in leadership. She currently serves as President of the Board of Directors for This Girl Has Oil, where she helps guide initiatives focused on mentorship, leadership development, and creating safe spaces for women to grow personally and professionally. A graduate of Liberty University with a degree in business administration and management, Natalie believes strongly in using both professional skills and spiritual gifts to uplift others. Guided by her faith, dedication to family, and heart for service, she continues to make a lasting impact in both the corporate and nonprofit worlds.

Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I ultimately give all glory to the Lord for the growth and success of both my professional work and ministry efforts. I believe my journey has been shaped through years of experience, formal education, and a strong commitment to serving others with purpose and integrity. One of the greatest strengths in my career has been my ability to integrate my professional expertise with ministry work, allowing both areas to complement and strengthen one another in meaningful ways.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever embraced is that it is never too late to pursue your purpose, continue your education, and make a meaningful impact in the world. My husband and I began our church humbly in our living room with only our children present, and over time, that ministry has grown to reach communities across the United States and Central America. That experience taught me that faith, perseverance, and consistency can create opportunities far beyond what you initially imagine. I also firmly believe lifelong learning is important, and I am proud to have earned my Bachelor’s degree at the age of 62. My journey is proof that growth and achievement are possible at any stage of life.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would encourage young women to support and uplift one another rather than compete against each other. Every woman has unique, God-given gifts and talents, and it is important to recognize and fully step into those strengths. I also believe women should actively pursue leadership opportunities and use their influence to encourage, mentor, and serve others in both professional and ministry settings.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges is managing the demands that come with overseeing multiple offices and balancing extensive travel, especially during intense accounting and tax seasons. At the same time, there are tremendous opportunities available today through digital communication and social media platforms. Since COVID, technology has made it possible to reach and connect with more people than ever before, and I see great value in using professional resources and online platforms to expand ministry outreach and support communities in meaningful ways.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Faith is the foundation of everything I do, both personally and professionally. I place a strong emphasis on family, healthy marriages, and creating stability within the home because I believe strong families build strong communities. I am also deeply committed to serving others through ministry, outreach, and encouragement, and I strive to lead with compassion, integrity, and purpose in every area of my life.
