Her Story
About Nichole
I come from a branding and design background, and over the past 15 years I've worked in both agency and in-house teams. What's unique about my journey is that alongside my creative work, I earned my PhD in psychology on Jungian and Archetypal studies. My thesis topic is curiosity, specifically the archetypal nature of curiosity. Now I'm bringing those two worlds together and trying to translate my research into writing and conversations about how curiosity, myth, and desire shape modern marketing, design, and AI. I specialize in creating brand identities, environments, and communications that transform and enhance people's lives. This could be a full brand identity including website and events, or it could be telling a story visually in a PowerPoint presentation for a pitch. I'm fortunate that I get to work on many different types of creative projects, and I've always been able to do that throughout my entire career. The only difference now is that I'm weaving in the essence of my research on curiosity and desire into my creative work. As a designer, I'm trained to think in symbolic and visual story, and on the academic side, studying Jungian and archetypal studies gives me insight into the essence and origins of symbol and all these meaningful approaches that influence the way I've always approached design. Now I'm able to approach it with a more informed understanding of how people see things and experience things, and all of that learning informs experience design and all of the creative work.
