Her Story

About Pink

I started my video podcast journey in 2020 when COVID hit. I was already doing a small podcast, just talking about my thoughts on things by myself, but when everyone went indoors during COVID, I wanted to do something different and fresh - something that wasn't like everybody else who had a podcast. I've always been very extra, so I decided to add the video portion to the audio. I started with Spotify Anchor when it was free, before Spotify took over Anchor, and simultaneously launched my YouTube channel with interviews. Now I interview business leaders worldwide - doctors, lawyers, therapists, counselors, hypnotherapists, wellness professionals, LegalShield representatives, speakers, coaches, consultants - all kinds of people from different industries. Over 500 of them so far, and all that I can tell are genius-level smart, intelligent times a thousand percent. My audience is about 100,000, including executives, CEOs, and investors who are both on the show and listening. I'm very humbled by this because I'm not like them at all - I just happen to have the microphone. What sets my show apart is that I do everything live and unedited. Nothing is edited, interviews drop immediately, and guests can pick them up and put them on their websites or not. It's very live, very authentic, very transparent - if you hear lawn mowers or dogs barking, that's life and it's okay. That's why a lot of people are drawn to me, but also why a lot of people do not like me, and I'm okay with that. I'm a very independent, decentralized person - a she-wolf type of loner and solopreneur. I'm not part of any network or organization because I want to take all the responsibility and accountability if anything goes wrong. I call myself a disruptive force because I talk about deconstructing religion, politics, and the patriarchy while helping rise the matriarchy. I'm very outspoken about feminism and women's safety. Pink Cloud 9 is about imperfection and being okay with not being perfect - there's perfection in imperfection. Transparency and authenticity have always been very important to me.

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to the work I've been doing to help women in the world today - work I've been doing for decades. What I'm most proud of is encouraging women to pick up the microphone, to stop being scared, and to use their voices. I tell them that their voices are way more important than any video, picture, or image. Your voice is the most important asset in your whole entire life, from birth to death and everything in between. Nothing else matters - your voice is number one. I encourage all women to pick up that microphone, whatever that might be. It could be a Facebook Live, it doesn't have to be a podcast or anything specific - it just has to be their voice, and that is the most important thing. When I see the good effects of the work that we've all been working so hard at for so long, watching women really breaking out of their shells and their traps, that's amazing. I see it happening every day in the world - women speaking up, not giving up, and helping them be free. That's what drives me and what I consider my greatest accomplishment.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Pick up the microphone and use your voice. Stop being scared. Your voice is way more important than any video, picture, or image - it's the most important asset in your whole entire life, from birth to death and everything in between. Nothing else matters. Your voice is number one. Pick up that microphone, whatever that might be - it could be a Facebook Live, it doesn't have to be a podcast or anything specific. If you want to learn what confidence is, or how to get confident, or what confidence looks like, or what boldness looks like, or what it is to walk around and not be afraid to open your mouth, then listen to my podcast. I show what it means to be live, authentic, and transparent. Life happens - if you hear lawn mowers or dogs barking, that's okay. Life is good. Be okay with imperfection. Pink Cloud 9 is about imperfection and being okay with not being perfect - there's perfection in imperfection. Transparency and authenticity are very important.

03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The most important values to me are transparency, authenticity, and women's safety. I've always been very transparent and authentic in everything I do - my show is completely live and unedited because I believe in showing real life as it happens. Transparency and authenticity have always been very important to me. Above all, I care about the safety of women. My goal is for women to be able to walk freely down the street without being worried that they're going to be raped, harassed, attacked, violated, or catcalled - just women being free to be themselves. I want women to be elevated to the leadership positions that the patriarchy has stolen from women for centuries. I want women to rise, truly and factually rise. I want women to take their leadership roles, feel safe, and rule the world, because women have empathy, fairness, just kindness, and that is what the world needs. I also value taking full responsibility and accountability - I don't want anybody else to be blamed for anything I do. I'm the one behind the entire curtain, and if anything goes wrong, you blame me. I'm okay with being seen as difficult or as a disruptive force because I'm willing to shield everybody from being associated with me if needed. I'm very independent and decentralized because I believe in standing alone and taking ownership of everything I do.
