About Rochelle

Rochelle Doud is the founder of Managing More Mindfully, an emerging business focused on mindfulness education, life coaching, and personal development. Drawing on approximately 20 years of professional experience across telecommunications, information technology, business analysis, process improvement, and operations management, she is building a new professional chapter centered on helping individuals develop self-awareness, strengthen their confidence, and navigate workplace and personal challenges.

Rochelle's background includes serving as an Operations Manager at Maverik, Inc., a Store Overnight Shift Lead at Kum & Go, a Business System Analyst III at DISYS, and an Operations Tech II Lead at CenturyLink. She also works as a Mindfulness coach, guiding individuals through personal growth and helping them make meaningful life decisions. Rochelle's approach to mindfulness and coaching is shaped by her educational journey and personal experiences. She holds a bachelor’s degree in information technology from the University of Phoenix and a Master of Business Administration from Capella University, in addition to an associate's degree and seven life coaching certificates.

As a single mother, Rochelle pursued her education while managing family responsibilities and overcoming significant personal challenges, including periods of homelessness and depression. These experiences strengthened her commitment to helping others develop resilience, establish healthy boundaries, practice authentic self-advocacy, and move forward through difficult transitions.

Through Managing More Mindfully, she is developing educational offerings focused on mindfulness, personal empowerment, spiritual growth, and healthier approaches to professional life. At the heart of Rochelle's work is the belief that mental well-being and work-life balance are essential to sustainable success. She aims to support people navigating difficult workplace environments, developing confidence, and creating healthier relationships with themselves and others. As she grows Managing More Mindfully, she is building connections within mindfulness and holistic wellness communities and plans to contribute her time volunteering. Rochelle is in the process of partnering with a couple of non-profits that help the community. Her mission is to help individuals recognize their strengths, advocate for themselves with confidence, and pursue meaningful careers without sacrificing their personal well-being or family relationships.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Rochelle

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my determination to provide for my family and ensure they have what they need. As a single mother, I worked hard to pursue my education, earn multiple degrees, and build my professional career while navigating personal and professional challenges. My experiences overcoming difficult circumstances have also inspired me to help others through mindfulness, self-discovery and life coaching.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

If we try something and it doesn't work out that is not failure, failure lies in not trying at all.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would encourage young women to stay confident and not allow other people's opinions to undermine their sense of self-worth. Understanding who you are is essential to moving forward and pursuing your goals. I also believe it is important to recognize the difference between being assertive and being aggressive. Women should feel empowered to express their needs, establish boundaries, and stand up for themselves authentically without allowing outside judgments to define their potential.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in mindfulness education and life coaching is networking and building visibility in a specialized field that connects spirituality, mindfulness, and personal development. Establishing meaningful relationships and helping people understand the value of these services takes time and consistent effort.

At the same time, I see a significant opportunity to help individuals develop healthier mindsets, improve their well-being, and navigate workplace challenges more effectively. By encouraging mindfulness and self-awareness, I hope to help people strengthen teamwork, support one another, and create healthier professional environments.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Family is my greatest priority. I believe professional success should not come at the expense of personal well-being or meaningful time with loved ones. Work-life balance is essential because people should be able to pursue fulfilling careers while protecting their health, relationships, and family commitments. Through my work, I want to encourage others to establish healthy boundaries and build lives that support both professional growth and personal fulfillment.
