About Rosa
Rosa Marti has dedicated her life and career to nonprofit ministry work since 1992, serving as the Executive Director of New Beginning Ministries and FBCWP Sidewalk Sunday School. Through her ministry, she provides biblical studies, mentorship, and community outreach while empowering women, children, and families to overcome challenges and reach their full potential. Her work includes operating a safe house for victims of human trafficking, organizing initiatives focused on teen suicide prevention and anti-bullying awareness in partnership with schools, and leading Church on Wheels, a mobile outreach program that provides food, clothing, and essential resources to thousands of individuals in need.
With more than three decades of experience in nonprofit leadership, Rosa has developed expertise in ministry operations, community engagement, fundraising, administration, counseling, teaching, and program development. She earned a degree in Administration in 1990 and has studied Biblical Religion and Christian Counseling, including pursuing advanced studies toward a Master’s degree at Liberty University. Rosa is actively involved with the Human Trafficking Task Force, partners with the Baptist Church of Windsor Park as a nongovernmental agency, and collaborates with organizations such as Homeland Security to support awareness, prevention, and intervention efforts.
Rosa attributes her success to her faith in God, which has guided her through decades of service and personal challenges. After being diagnosed with lupus 29 years ago, she continued to persevere and remained committed to fulfilling her calling to serve others. Her unwavering dedication, compassion, and belief in the value of every individual have allowed her to positively impact countless lives. Through her ministry, leadership, and outreach efforts, Rosa continues to inspire communities by helping people discover hope, purpose, and the strength to build a better future.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my faith in God, which has given me the strength, resilience, and perseverance to overcome challenges and continue moving forward. After being diagnosed with lupus 29 years ago, I chose not to let that define my journey or limit what I could accomplish. Through faith, determination, and a commitment to making the most of every opportunity God has provided, I have been able to pursue my goals, overcome obstacles, and continue achieving meaningful milestones in both my personal and professional life.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I have ever received is to never give up. Throughout my journey, I have learned the importance of perseverance, resilience, and maintaining a positive mindset despite challenges. Being diagnosed with lupus 29 years ago presented obstacles, but I refused to let it define my abilities or limit my potential. That experience strengthened my determination and reinforced the value of staying committed to my goals, adapting through adversity, and continuing to move forward no matter the circumstances.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering the industry is to follow God with your whole heart and allow your faith to guide your decisions and journey. As Matthew 6:33 reminds us, “Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.” When you place God first, trust in His plan, and remain committed to your purpose, He will provide the strength, guidance, and opportunities needed to move forward. Always remember that you are never alone, because He is faithful and will never leave nor forsake you.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenges and opportunities in my field right now involve securing funding and building the support needed to expand the ministry’s impact. Raising funds and finding dedicated individuals who can assist with organizing events, outreach efforts, and fundraising initiatives are essential to continuing the mission and reaching more people. I believe these challenges also present opportunities to build stronger partnerships, engage the community, and bring together individuals who share the same vision and passion for serving others.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are faith, compassion, service, and helping others recognize their God-given value and potential. For more than 33 years, I have been dedicated to empowering individuals, families, and communities by helping people overcome difficult circumstances, understand their worth, and build a stronger foundation through faith. My mission is to encourage men, women, and children to believe in themselves, grow spiritually, and work together to create healthier, more supportive communities where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

Writing from the Heart
Starting the task of putting words together to make an impact can feel daunting when we overthink it. However, beautiful things happen when we begin to write what flows freely from our hearts and souls.
God formed each of us uniquely in our mother's womb. We are all fearfully and wonderfully made. When we study Him, His majesty, and His pursuit of us (Psalm 139:1–4; Luke 15:3–7), revelation begins to flow from our hearts onto the pages. Stay focused, and consistently refrain from using words to degrade yourself or anyone else. Remember that a mighty God does not make junk. He loves us and draws us with His loving-kindness (Jeremiah 31:3). If you allow God to inspire your writing, you may be surprised by what flows onto the page.
My inspiration to become an author came from spending time each day studying the Bible (2 Timothy 2:15) and wanting to know the God who loved us so much that He gave His only Son to die on the cross for us (John 3:16). As I studied, I fell in love with the God of heaven and His Son, Jesus Christ.
Individuals who look for love in the wrong places often end up hurt. Worldly love can fade when circumstances become difficult, but God's love is different. It is strong, precious, pure, and beautiful. Godly love embraces, teaches, encourages, and restores us to a deeper relationship with Him.
God is love. His true love came down from heaven (John 1:1–5) to walk where we walk and feel what we feel (Hebrews 4:15). Because He did not want us to perish in our sin (Romans 6:23), He made a way for us to experience His unfailing love (John 3:16) and continually pursues us (Luke 15:3–7). We all need this genuine, everlasting love.
Stay focused. Believe in God, and believe in yourself. Open your heart, open the pages of your notebook, and begin to write the essence of your heart for a world that is desperate for hope and answers.
