Selena is deeply committed to community impact and women’s empowerment through her nonprofit initiative, Find Your Pink Wellness Center. Currently in the pre-revenue stage and awaiting 501(c)(3) designation, the organization is actively seeking a fiscal sponsor to help secure grant funding and financial support for establishing a physical facility. The goal is to obtain funding for a dedicated building that will serve as a central hub for programs, resources, and community support.

Find Your Pink Wellness Center is designed to create safe, supportive spaces where women can strengthen their emotional well-being and advance professionally. The organization is hoping to serve women in the Tempe and Chandler, Arizona area—communities where many women face financial limitations, employment instability, and limited access to workforce development resources.

The Center will offer tangible, workforce-focused services aimed at removing barriers to employment and promoting long-term stability. Planned resources include a donation closet with professional attire and hygiene essentials, as well as a Resource Library equipped with computers and internet access to support résumé building, job applications, and digital literacy. Educational workshops and empowerment programming will further support financial literacy, career development, and personal growth.

By securing a fiscal sponsor and funding for a permanent location, Find Your Pink Wellness Center will be positioned to create a sustainable, accessible space for women navigating economic hardship and career transition.

Inspired by her own journey through the corporate workforce, Selena is passionate about helping women build financial independence and upward career mobility. She combines business strategy with service-driven leadership to transform vision into measurable community impact.

Outside of her professional and philanthropic work, Selena enjoys traveling, hosting meaningful gatherings, and spending quality time with her son, family, and friends. She remains committed to continuous growth, authentic leadership, and creating opportunities that empower others to achieve long-term success and stability.

Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my ability to overcome life’s challenges and transform those experiences into stepping stones for growth. Every obstacle has strengthened my resilience and deepened my commitment to helping others navigate their own journeys with confidence and purpose. I am equally grateful for the mentors and supporters who believed in me, invested in my potential, and encouraged me to keep pushing forward—even when the path was uncertain.

As a mother, I am profoundly motivated by the responsibility and privilege of modeling resilience, ambition, and integrity for my son. Building a stable, prosperous future for our family is more than a goal—it is a driving purpose. This purpose-centered mindset fuels my focus, discipline, and determination to pursue excellence in my professional life while cultivating fulfillment and balance personally.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I ever received was to stop letting imposter syndrome hold me back and truly believe I belong in the room. Your ideas matter, even if you’re new, because you bring a perspective no one else has. It’s not about knowing everything—it’s about showing up, speaking up, and trusting that your voice deserves to be heard.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women starting out in sales and marketing is to be confident and use your voice. Speak up, even if it feels intimidating—your perspective matters. Always advocate for yourself, because this field can be high-pressure and male-dominated. Standing up for your ideas and knowing your worth isn’t something to apologize for—it’s essential for building a successful and fulfilling career.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Gender Wage Gap & Economic Inequality

Many women in the Phoenix/Tempe region earn significantly less than men for similar work, limiting financial security and long‑term economic stability. This wage gap results in lost income that could otherwise support basic needs, savings, or investment in career advancement

Barriers to Employment Preparation

Many women lack access to essential tools for career success, including reliable computers, internet access, and structured support for résumé building, job searching, interview preparation, and digital skills development — all of which are critical to gaining employment or advancing careers. These gaps are particularly impactful in areas where economic pressures are high and unemployment challenges persist.

Financial Stress and Confidence Challenges

Surveys of women in the Phoenix metro area show that economic instability and job insecurity contribute to a lack of confidence in financial wellbeing, especially in uncertain economic conditions. This stress can affect mental health, career decision‑making, and overall quality of life

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that guide me in both my professional and personal life are loyalty, discipline, consistency, teamwork, and bringing a positive, uplifting presence wherever I go. I believe trust is built through reliability and a commitment to the people and organizations I serve. I also value joy and balance—bringing energy and positivity into my work and relationships while staying focused and accountable. Being a supportive team player and encouraging others to succeed is central to who I am. These values shape how I approach my career, family, and community, guiding me to lead with integrity, purpose, and heart.
