What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to resilience, faith, and the lessons that came from losing everything. My journey hasn’t been easy. I came out of a dark period where I battled major depression for a year or two, and I literally had to relearn how to talk and function again. When Halo gave me an opportunity, I didn’t have any coaching, mentoring, or anyone to guide me. I had to learn the battlefield on my own. What shaped me the most was losing everything and watching people walk away. As long as I had money and was paying for everything, I had a crowd. But the moment I lost it all, my car, my stability, everything, everyone scattered. The only one who stayed was God. In that silence, I had no choice but to keep pushing, because besides God, I was the only one counting on me. But even in that loss, I gained something priceless. I learned who I truly was. I learned my worth. I learned my value. I learned how to stand on my own without needing validation or a crowd. Those experiences positioned me for the life ahead and shaped the leader I am today. So, when I look at where I am now as a supervisor, I see more than a title. I see proof of resilience, proof of growth, and proof that every challenge I survived built the strength I walk in today.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Follow your heart, because you can listen to everybody around you, and they say what's best for them. But deep in your heart if you sit and listen to your inner self, you'll know what you really want to do, and your time won't be wasted.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Honesty, transparency, and real loyalty matter most to me. I believe in being genuine, clear, and consistent, showing up as who I am and standing on my word. Those values guide how I work, lead, and build relationships in every part of my life.
