Ten minutes with Tammy

01What do you attribute your success to?

I never give up because I believe that everything God has placed inside of me has a purpose. I’ve learned that obstacles are not always signs that it’s time to stop.

Sometimes they are opportunities to grow, to learn, to stretch my faith, and to discover strength I didn’t even know I had.

What keeps me moving forward is the desire to make a difference—to use what God has given me to impact lives and, in my own way, help change the world.

There have been many times when I didn’t know how to do something, when the road ahead seemed difficult, or when the vision God placed in my heart felt much bigger than my ability to accomplish it.

But I have learned that not knowing how is not the same as not being able.

I refuse to allow what I don’t know today to keep me from where God is leading me tomorrow.

If I don’t know, I will learn. If I fall short, I will grow. When I’m uncertain, I will pray. When the road gets difficult, I will keep moving forward.

I may not always know every step, but I trust the One who directs my path. I will not quit simply because something is difficult.

I will keep learning, keep growing, keep believing, and keep walking toward the purpose God has placed before me.

Because when God gives you a vision, sometimes faith looks like having the courage to keep going until you become the person capable of carrying it.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Never allow the world, setbacks, or the opinions of others to detour you from pursuing your dreams.

Stay focused on your purpose, remain willing to learn, and never be afraid to start something simply because you don't know everything yet.

Some of the greatest growth happens when you challenge yourself to step beyond what is comfortable.

I have also learned the importance of having strong mentors along the journey. Kim Hitt has been an incredible mentor in my life, inspiring me to strive for excellence, believe in my potential, and never settle for less than my best.

The right mentor doesn't just tell you where to go—they challenge you to recognize what is already inside of you and encourage you to keep reaching higher.

My career advice is simple: Never stop learning. Never stop growing. Never let obstacles determine your destination.

Surround yourself with people who inspire excellence, remain committed to your vision, and keep moving forward—even when the road becomes difficult.

Your dreams are worth the work it takes to achieve them.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering any industry is this: Never allow anyone else to determine the limits of what you can become.

There will always be people who question your ability, doors that don't open immediately, and moments when you wonder whether you're capable of achieving the vision in your heart.

Keep going anyway.

Be willing to learn what you don't know, work with excellence when no one is watching, and never be intimidated by being the only woman—or the least experienced person—in the room.

You don't have to know everything to begin; you simply have to be willing to learn, grow, and refuse to quit.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in my field right now is navigating the impact of today’s economic conditions on small businesses.

Rising costs and changing consumer spending have required me to become more creative, adaptable, and intentional about how I continue to grow.

But I have learned not to see challenges as reasons to stop—they are opportunities to get better at what I do.

At the same time, one of my greatest opportunities is stepping into a new season as an author.

My goal is bigger than simply selling a book; I want to get my message into the hands of people around the world and use it to encourage, inspire, and change lives.

Whether through entrepreneurship, writing, teaching, or speaking, I see every opportunity as another way to make an impact and fulfill the purpose God has placed on my life.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that guide both my work and my personal life are God, family, faith, integrity, perseverance, excellence, and purpose.

I believe that whatever God places in my hands, I have a responsibility to give it my very best and to use it to make a difference in the lives of others.

One of my greatest accomplishments will never be measured by a degree, a title, a successful business, or even a published book.

It will be measured by the lives I have impacted and the women I leave stronger because I was part of their journey—especially my three beautiful daughters.

I want my daughters to know that faith does not mean the road will always be easy, but it gives you the strength to keep going when it isn’t.

I want them to believe they can pursue anything they are willing to pray for, work for, and remain committed to.

More than simply telling them they can achieve their dreams, I want my life to be the example.

I want them to look at my journey and see that perseverance can outlast disappointment, faith can overcome fear, hard work can open doors, and determination

can carry you beyond obstacles that once seemed impossible.

Ultimately, I want the way I live, work, serve, and lead to leave a legacy that reminds my daughters—and every woman I have the privilege of influencing—that their

lives have purpose, and they should never be afraid to pursue it.
