Her Story

About Terri

I am the owner-founder of Spiritual Endeavor, which I created in 2023. As an inter-spiritual interfaith minister ordained in 2025, I provide all the spiritual services myself - it's just me, I don't have anybody working for me. My main focus is working with animals, particularly animals that are transitioning. I do work at nonprofit farms here in North Carolina, and I've been working at Fuzzy Faces, which is a nonprofit farm with horses and goats, as a volunteer. I'm currently in my third year as assistant dean at One Spirit Learning Alliance, the seminary school I graduated from. This position is like an internship, it's non-pay, and I'm training for becoming a dean, which I expect to happen probably in the summer or fall of this year. My work combines my background in psychology with my spiritual calling to serve both people and animals.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Terri

01What do you attribute your success to?

I would say the One Spirit Learning Alliance, the people there, with the ministry work. The learning experience from there, from the leaders there, and the education team - that's really what I attribute my success to in this field.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I've ever received is to listen to your calling and no one else. Everybody has advice, right? But you have to listen to your own calling - that's what matters most.

03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenge is being a woman in a field that's - being a woman as a minister. It's a huge challenge with the belief system in this country. That's really the biggest challenge I face.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me are being true to yourself, honesty, and loving-kindness. Those are the core values that guide both my work and my personal life.
