Her Interview

Ten minutes with Thomasina

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my strong will, determination, and faith. I never give up, even when faced with challenges that could have caused me to quit. My faith in the Lord gives me strength and direction, while my persistence keeps me moving forward. I believe that staying focused, maintaining faith, and refusing to let obstacles stop me are key to achieving success.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I received was from a friend who introduced me to the staffing industry. She taught me that success would be rewarding but would require patience, persistence, and hard work. Placements would not simply fall into my lap, but if I stayed committed and put in the effort, I would see the results of my work. I have carried that lesson with me throughout my career, and it is one of the reasons I am still in the industry 20 years later.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is to develop a thick skin and never take rejection or criticism personally, whether it comes from employers or candidates. Things will not always go your way, and the industry can change quickly, with both highs and lows. Stay professional, remain resilient, hope for the best, and most importantly, never give up.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me are faith, integrity, ethics, service, and a genuine commitment to helping others. I put God first in my life and believe in conducting my business honestly while using my experience to help people find meaningful employment. I never make promises I cannot guarantee, but I do everything I can to guide candidates, strengthen their resumes, and connect them with the right opportunities. For me, success means making a positive difference in someone’s career and continuing to be a resource to my community.
