Her Story

About Tiffanie

I started my career at 14 in customer service and retail, and at 19, following my older sister's footsteps, I entered property management as a leasing agent with PMC Property Group. I discovered I love residential property management, dealing with people, helping them, and leasing apartments. I moved to Morgan Properties as a leasing professional and then leasing manager, where I learned so much through their extensive training programs. I then became an assistant property manager with Dolman, though during that time I had two children under two, which was challenging to navigate while pursuing my career goals. Becoming a mom made me take my career even more seriously. I was recruited by St. John's Properties as a property administrator in commercial property management, but I took time off to focus on my personal life and raising my children. After returning through accounting with Strauss, I realized I wanted more balance and to be present with my kids. Now I'm back in commercial property management as an assistant property manager at Thomas Park. Throughout my career journey, I've been learning and trying to figure out what path was best for me given how my life looks now. I feel way more fulfilled on where I'm going with my journey - I want to be a property manager on the commercial end while also raising my children and being there for them as a single mom and sole provider.

01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I've ever received was to keep trying. Even when you think that maybe a career path or wherever you're currently working is not working for you, or you don't have what you think that you need to move on, I think it's very important to keep trying. Sometimes you're learning something that you don't even realize might be what will take you into a new opportunity that might be your best career choice or your best career path. So the best advice I've been getting was to keep trying and to not give up on yourself while trying to manage those career goals.
