Her Story
About Tracey
My journey began in education, where I taught high school for about 5 years. During that time, I discovered that my favorite students to work with were those who had a need to learn in different ways, and most of them had ADHD. That's where it all started for me. After leaving teaching, I immediately launched into business, providing executive functioning coaching for children and families. The work quickly evolved, and I found myself providing ADHD coaching for adults, with a large population being lawyers. For 25 years now, I've owned my own business, and it has been an incredible journey of growth and transformation. About 2 years ago, I made one of the most significant decisions of my career. I stepped away from another business I had co-owned for 14 years to go all in on my current work with lawyers and legal professionals. It was scary, but I followed my intuition, and it's working out great. Today, I help lawyers and legal professionals use effective communication as a tool for productivity, and I help them make ADHD their genius through my trademarked program, Make ADHD Your Genius. Through this program, I offer two large virtual events for lawyers and legal professionals twice per year. We're just launching Season 3 right now, and it's one of my favorite things to do. My work encompasses coaching, consulting, training, and speaking, and I'm currently working on writing my second book. What I love most about this work is helping people see for themselves that change is possible. My favorite part is creating a culture and community of hope for people and holding that for them while they're making it for themselves. I love helping people discover their talents that they may not even recognize they have and figure out how to use them.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to following my intuition and having faith - trust in myself and trust in God. I have a real belief in self that I can get through hard times, whatever the challenges are, business or otherwise. Just believing in that, ultimately, and having a deep sense of gratitude has been key to everything I've accomplished. When I decided to step away from the business I co-owned for 14 years and go all in on my current work with lawyers, it was scary, but I followed my intuition and it's working out great. That ability to trust myself and follow what I know is right for me has made all the difference.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would tell them to believe in themselves. When self-doubt pops up, look inward and love themselves. Know that the decisions they're making are the right ones for them, just them, without having to compare themselves to others or think about how other people might be judging them. And never, ever give up on their dreams. I really believe that people are born with dreams that are on their heart, and that's why it's their dream. It's not everyone's dream. It's unique to them, and they need to just keep coming back to that. Trust yourself and follow what you know is right for you.
