The Hobby That Gave Her More Than a Hobby

I started writing a fictional book filled with wild ideas and characters, even though I'm not a writer and have no plans to publish it. I simply write the story the way I would tell it, and it's reminded me how freeing it can be to create something purely for the joy of it.

Joining the Latinas Golf Club started simply as a fun way to learn golf and unwind, but it became so much more, a space to connect with incredible women, build meaningful friendships, and find a new way to recharge. Golf has reminded me that sometimes the things we do purely for joy can unexpectedly enrich our lives in the biggest ways.

Gardening started as something my husband and I enjoyed, but it grew into a calling to serve. What began in my backyard became Seeds of Growth Inc., proving that sometimes the smallest seed you plant for yourself becomes something that feeds an entire community.

I started writing simply because I loved putting thoughts into words; I never imagined those words would one day be published or connect me with people I might never otherwise meet. What began as a creative outlet became a way to find my voice, build community, and discover that sometimes the things we do purely for joy quietly shape who we become.
