I am truly honored and humbled to be recognized as an Influential Woman of 2026. My journey has taken unexpected and transformative turns. For more than twenty years, I had the privilege of leading television newsrooms as a lead anchor, executive producer, news director, and news writer. At a pivotal moment, however, I made the courageous decision to step away and pursue my deepest passion — humanitarian work.
This work is not simply a profession; it is a calling. It allows me to serve and advocate for the most vulnerable, especially those forced to flee their homes due to dangers threatening their lives and the safety of their families. I have faced obstacles, doubts, and criticism, yet I remain grateful for the opportunity to make a meaningful difference every single day. Leadership, to me, is defined by resilience, compassion, consistency, and a genuine commitment to uplifting others.
