Building Again, Better: Why I Returned to Boutique Fitness with a New Vision

The boutique fitness industry is one of the most dynamic and rewarding spaces to be part of, but it is also one of the most challenging. Trends evolve quickly, competition is constant, and long-term success requires more than just a great workout. It takes vision, discipline, and the ability to build something people truly connect with.

I know this because I’ve lived it.

For several years, I owned and operated multiple studios within the Club Pilates system. That experience shaped me not only as a business owner but also as a leader. I learned how to build teams, create community, and understand what clients are really looking for when they walk through the door. It’s not just fitness—it’s how they feel, how they progress, and whether they feel like they belong.

Those years were incredibly rewarding, but they were also intense. After reaching a point where I felt proud of what I had built, I made the decision to step away. At the time, I truly believed I was ready to slow down.

But stepping away gave me something I didn’t expect: clarity.

I realized that what I love most isn’t just the success of a business—it’s the process of building it. I enjoy creating something from the ground up, developing a team, and watching a concept come to life in a way that impacts people daily. That’s not something I was ready to leave behind.

That realization led me to my next chapter with STRIDE Fitness.

What drew me to STRIDE wasn’t just the workout—it was the leadership and intentionality behind the brand. Reconnecting with Shaun Grove and Anthony Badalian, both of whom I had worked with before, gave me confidence that this was more than just another concept entering the market. It is a brand built with thought, experience, and a clear understanding of where fitness is heading.

For me, that direction matters.

Over the years, I’ve seen how the industry has shifted toward high-intensity, results-driven workouts. While that approach can be effective, it often overlooks something equally important: sustainability. People don’t just want to push harder—they want to feel better, avoid injury, and build strength that lasts.

That’s the gap I believe STRIDE is uniquely positioned to fill.

As I prepare to open my location in Southampton, Pennsylvania, my focus is not just on delivering great workouts. It’s on creating a balanced approach—one that combines performance, strength, and recovery. Fitness should challenge you, but it should also support you long term.

Beyond the workout itself, I am deeply focused on building community. In my experience, the most successful studios are not the ones with the most classes or the biggest marketing budgets—they are the ones where people feel connected. That’s why I’m investing heavily in local partnerships, pop-up events, and community engagement even before we open our doors.

These efforts aren’t just marketing strategies; they are the foundation of a strong, lasting business.

If there is one thing I’ve learned throughout my career, it’s that success in this industry isn’t about following trends. It’s about understanding people—what motivates them, what challenges them, and what keeps them coming back.

This next chapter is not about starting over. It’s about building on everything I’ve learned and doing it even better.

I may have stepped away for a moment, but one thing has become very clear: building, growing, and creating meaningful fitness experiences is not just what I do—it’s who I am.

And I’m just getting started.
