Starting a new career can feel intimidating. However, I have learned that the skills you develop in one profession can seamlessly carry over into another. Teachers, for example, bring highly valued strengths such as organization, professionalism, relationship-building, and the ability to multitask. The same skills I relied on in the classroom have become the foundation of my success as an insurance broker.

I am grateful that I made the transition into the insurance industry. The work-life balance I have now helps keep me grounded, and having the opportunity to educate adults about their healthcare benefits is especially rewarding to me.
