Leading with Intention: A Journey of Resilience, Growth, and Breaking Barriers
From Survival to Leadership: How I Became the Woman I Needed All Along
For most of my life, I believed success came from working hard, staying focused, and pushing through challenges quietly. Over time, I learned that real leadership isn’t built in silence—it’s forged in the moments when life demands that you rise, rebuild, and redefine who you are.
My career began without a roadmap. What I did have was determination, a commitment to creating stability for my daughters, and an unwavering belief that I could build something meaningful. From the fast-paced world of recruiting to cultivating strong organizational relationships, my path has been shaped far more by resilience and intention than by circumstance.
My greatest turning points weren’t tied to promotions or titles. They happened during the hard seasons—when life felt overwhelming, yet I still had to show up. Those moments strengthened my emotional intelligence, sharpened my decision-making, and taught me that growth often takes root in the dark long before it ever comes into the light.
In the talent acquisition field, I discovered a unique strength: the ability to recognize potential, connect with people deeply, and create opportunities that transform workplaces. I learned the impact of advocating for others, building systems that elevate entire teams, and leading with empathy. Along the way, I embraced my creative side, proving that women can be ambitious, artistic, strategic, and wholly authentic all at once.
Today, success isn’t defined by a title—it’s defined by waking up each morning determined to become the woman I needed years ago, the woman my daughters can look up to. Success is choosing growth over comfort, stability over chaos, and purpose over pressure.
If I could offer one message to ambitious women, it would be this:
Do not shrink yourself for the comfort of others. Your voice, your story, and your strength matter.
Take up space.
Speak boldly.
Honor every part of your journey—even the difficult chapters.
Women don’t just break barriers.
We build new paths.
And as we rise, we carry others with us.
