Why January Forces Hard Truths—and Why Women Need Clarity Before Divorce
January has become known as the month when many women finally confront a truth they’ve been carrying quietly for years.
The holidays end. The distractions fade. And what’s left is an undeniable question:
Can I keep living like this?
For women divorcing after decades of marriage, the weight of that question can feel overwhelming. Fear, guilt, financial uncertainty, and grief often collide at once.
I know this because I’ve lived it.
After 25 years of marriage, my relationship ended due to infidelity. I went through my own grey divorce later in life—without clarity, without emotional support, and without understanding how many decisions I was making under stress.
At the time, I believed the only thing I needed was an attorney. What I didn’t know was how much more support I truly needed—and how costly that lack of clarity would prove to be.
That experience changed the course of my life.
Years later, I became a Certified Divorce & Life Reinvention Coach so I could help other women avoid the mistakes I made—especially during emotionally charged moments.
Divorce is not just a legal process. It is a personal reinvention.
That’s why beginning with a Certified Divorce Coach who has walked the journey herself is so important. Not just someone trained—but someone who understands the emotional reality of this transition.
Before you act, file, or sign anything, you deserve clarity.
