Her Story
About Alexandra
I work for Docker, an AI-powered operating system for healthcare marketing that bridges ad tech and healthcare. We support pharma companies and media agencies in getting the right message in front of the right healthcare professionals to really impact patients at point of care. Over the past 4 years, I've been primarily working in data, AI, and cloud recruitment. I wanted to have more impact internally, so I transitioned from the agency space into an internal recruitment function, specifically for an AI company. This aligned with my background and expertise in recruitment while giving me a broader perspective of end-to-end recruitment internally. I'm the first U.S. recruitment hire for Docker and work with a global team in the UK and India. Beyond standard end-to-end recruitment, I focus on process improvements and culture engagement across the U.S. office. I'm a huge advocate for women in tech and really wanted to support women in that space. Having a woman being presented in that space is much more engaging and exciting.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
The best advice I would give is having a passion for the type of recruitment you are going into, because it just makes the job a lot more exciting. When I got into it, it was new for me, and I did a variety of recruitment roles, but I really did love the tech space, and from that, I found that I really wanted to grow in that space, but also support women in tech. Having a woman being presented in that space is just much more engaging and exciting. So really finding that passion you want to work in really makes the job not so much a job.
