Her Story
About Anailah
I'm currently a college student at Lincoln University of Pennsylvania, where I hold several leadership positions and dedicate myself to community work. On campus, I serve as president of the National Society of Black Women in Medicine and treasurer for our chapter of Generation Action, which is sponsored by Planned Parenthood. I also work as a peer tutor for English and biology subjects. Off campus, I founded and lead Girls Take a Seat, an all-virtual mentorship program for girls in grades 6 to 12 that helps them with mentoring, career readiness, professional development, and career development. Additionally, I work as a research assistant studying HPV-associated cervical cancer, specifically researching how HPV oncogenes disrupt the genes in our cells and cause cervical cancer. I'm currently working towards getting published in this area of research.
