About Anne
I started in the construction industry in 2002 after college. My dad is a general contractor and residential builder, and my mom had a real estate company, so the industry was in my blood. They were at the International Builders Show and ran into one of the executives from 210 Homebuyers Warranty, asked if they were hiring, and I just kept following up with them until I got an interview and then got the job. I was with them for almost 22 years, where I called on builders, large and small, and did training on dispute avoidance, as well as how to handle walkthroughs, and how to define their legal liability through a written document that had the construction standards. About 2 years ago, I transitioned to the commercial general contracting side, and I've been with SouthCon Building Group since November of this year as their business development manager. SouthCon is a general contractor out of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina that's been in business for 18 years. We do no residential, no multifamily, but we do commercial projects about $35 million and below. I go and meet with architects, civil engineers, developers, and economic development for all the municipalities, just to kind of know what's going on and see if we can have an opportunity to bid some of the projects that are coming up. We've done meaningful projects like historic work at Boone Hall, the Boathouse at the Citadel, schools, and hospitals. I'm excited about seeing projects from beginning to end, from shovel in the ground to completion.
