Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I had always had a passion for healthcare, but I credit my success to the strong women in my life, from my mother to the mentors who have supported me in this profession. They’ve shown me that success comes from a willingness to keep learning and growing.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Stay passionate about the work and stay open to learning, especially in a field where answers aren’t always black and white. Surround yourself with supportive mentors and peers, ask questions, and remember that growth comes with time and experience. Success is not achieved alone.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

A major challenge in medical billing/healthcare is managing an ever-changing system. It requires attention to detail, continuous learning, and a genuine commitment to supporting both patients and providers. Behind every claim is a patient and a provider, and the growing complexity of insurance processes can create frustration for both.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values I hold most important are empathy, curiosity, and compassion. In both my work and personal life, I strive to treat others with kindness and respect. You never know what someone else is going through.
